Google To Ditch Support For IE7, Safari 3 & Firefox 3.5 From August 1
2011-06-09 07:00:00 Come August 1st, Google is phasing out support for some Internet browsers chief amongst them are Internet Explorer 7, Safari 3 and Firefox 3.5 and all of their predecessors. This means that the users of the above mentioned browsers will have trouble using certain features in Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Google Docs and Google sites. The company in its official blog has also warned that if users fail to upgrade to a supported version of the browser, then all these services will eventually stop working. The company has also mentioned that going forward, with every release of a new browser version, it will begin supporting the update and stop supporting the third-oldest version. Amongst the users of Google chrome, those who have turned off the automatic update feature will also be affected by the latest decision of Google. Es el caso de esta web del Kansas Department of Transportation, un organismo que se encarga del mantenimiento de las carreteras públicas del estado estadounidense. A veces nos quejamos, y con razón, de los problemas que presentan algunos portales oficiales del gobierno o de las distintas comunidades autónomas con los usuarios de sistemas operativos distintos de Windows, pero me da la sensación que en otros lares las cosas no funcionan mucho mejor.
