2007-09-24 15:59:00 Friends and fellow riders, Coni Fitch passed into God's merciful arms Saturday afternoon after bravely battling the cancer which has kept her from riding for many months. Her family has asked me to express their appreciation for all the support they have had from all Coni's friends and riding family. All who knew her will certainly remember her enormous heart which warmly held all of us at one time or another. She was a 'best friend' even to those whom she'd just met. We will miss her enthusiasm and love of life in all its forms. I thank God for the gift of her friendship for the short time she walked with us. The family intends to hold a family funeral but will plan a larger gathering in the first part of October for her extended family and friends. 2007-08-30 18:55:00 Citing changes to its mortgage insurance capital model and the declining residential real estate market, Fitch Ratings has downgraded the insurer financial strength ratings of PMI Mortgage Insurance and PMI Guaranty from AA-plus to AA. In addition, Fitch has affirmed the A-plus senior debt and long-term issuer ratings of The PMI Group Inc., as well as various other ratings of PMI affiliates. Fitch recently enhanced its proprietary MI capital model in light of the changing U.S. mortgage environment and corresponding changes to Fitch’s residential mortgage-backed securities model. “Among the most significant changes to Fitch’s MI model were a 20% increase to the frequency-of-foreclosure factors and an increase in the capital charge for illiquid assets to 100%,” the rating agency said.
