Flo Rida - R.O.O.T.S. [Retail]When Flo Rida exploded into the music scene with his #1 single "Low" many were left wondering if he would be a one hit wonder. He proved everyone wrong when his debut album "Mail on Sunday" debuted at #4 and his next two singles both managed to be Top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Shortly after he quickly went to work on his sophomore effort and less then a year later new single "Right Round" is currently the #1 song in the US. Looks like Flo Rida is showing no signs of going anywhere, anytime soon. The album is filled with radio ready high-energy records just waiting to hit the airwaves. I?m home from my Seattle and Victoria vacation and will write more about the trip over the next few days. I may even share pictures if I can figure out how to get the pictures from the digital camera to the computer. Although we weren?t in the car all that often during the vacation, the song we heard the most was ?Low? by Flo Rida (not to be confused with the state Florida). The main character of the song, Shawty, had apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur. She also had them baggy sweat pants and the Reeboks with the straps. This raises several questions. Is Shawty wearing all of this at the same time? Did she magically change clothes on the floor, I mean flo? Is Flo Rida discussing two different women referred to as Shawty? The song does not seem to clarify this so I thought I would share my questions with all of you.

Flo Rida first arrived on the scene last summer on the DJ Khaled track "Bitch I'm From Dade County." To be honest about it I ignored his vocal performance entirely. When you're sharing a Diaz Brothers with the likes of Rick Ross, Trick Daddy and Trina it's not like you're getting the top spot on the cut. Then again Brisco was on this track too and has blown up since then with "In the Hood" so perhaps it's worthwhile to give Flo Rida another chance.
