2008-03-04 05:32:00 Flogging Molly: FloatIrish-punk-via-Los-Angeles- originators, Flogging Molly return with their first album since 2004's Within a Mile of Home and their fourth studio album overall.It's been a long journey for Dave King and company. Their 1997 debut album was a live recording at Molly Malone's. The strength of that album lead to their signing with record label SideOneDummy.Their first studio album Stagger was launched to unprecedented success with the help of the catchy debut single "Salty Dog".The bands mix of traditional Irish folk instruments and punk song writing carved out a niche of the band many didn't know existed. Their style has been compared to the Pogues who are admittedly a major influence, although Dropkick Murphys may be a more apt comparison.For the most part they sound like a Celtic record recorded on 33 1/3 played at 45 speed, they do occasionally break it down for a good old Irish ballad. The song for which the album gets its name "Float" is in that category...

Es ya de 2004 pero hace poko desperté con una canción de ellos en la cabeza y encontré que bien en este disco y que no estaba en el blog? así que aquí esta. No se que tan conocidos sean pero dejen les describo la música? es eska, hecho por irlandeses que al comienzo de su carrera se mudaron a LA, entonces tiene tmb algo de punk, o no se, esta muy divertido y si dan ganas de buscarse un tarro de cerveza. io recomiendo "The Seven Deadly Sins", "Factory Girls?, "Light of a Fading Star", "Tomorrow Comes a Day Too Soon?? no, pues les voy a terminar poniendo todo el tracklist. 2007-10-13 18:27:00 It's been awhile since our last update and we have lots of great news to share with you.We are thrilled to be able to tell you that Matt Hensley is back with Flogging Molly on a full time basis! Matt's decision to return was a very welcome one for us and we're glad that he's back in our family where he belongs. Matt's already played a few shows and has been in Ireland with us recording our next album at Grouse Lodge Studios in County Westmeath. We're working with co-producer/engineer/mixer extraordinaire Ryan Hewitt, whose credits include Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Frusciante, Alkaline Trio, Cat Power and Pepper among others. We've had a great time and can't wait to share the new music with you.
