What Happens when Table Rock Lake gets flooded?
2008-05-13 01:04:00 You've probably heard about Table Rock Lake rising to an all-time high this spring. This area experienced record-setting rainfall for the months of February and March, and the lake then rose to 933.25 feet. The previous record was set in 1961 at 932.5 feet. It has really been a sight to behold! We live directly across from the Point 7 sign (to those of you not familiar with our lake yet, we have point numbers that help you know where you are around the lake) which normally sticks WAY above the water. The sign posts themselves are probably a good 6 feet from the ground to the bottom of the sign. My husband has a telescope trained on the sign, and every morning he has been checking on the amount of sign showing. At one point, the entire sign was covered.
