2007-04-17 16:15:00 There were a lot of bizarre moments in last night's game; to wit, a flock of seagulls attacking Jason Marquis at the Top of the 1st before finally dropping him an offering of a bread crust on the mound, Cliff Flyod's MONSTER homerun, Cliff Floyd legging out a triple (?!?!?!), Marquis hitting a rocket off the CF wall that was almost out, Jacque playing LF while Murton played RF, and so on and so forth. But nothing turned my stomach (and the chicago-style hotdog that resided there at the time) like watching Fonz slide to make a catch (and it WAS a catch, you stupid, stupid blind ump) and immediately jumpinig up and hoping around on one leg. Apple Replaces Justin Long with Fonzie in Upcoming Ads
2007-02-24 13:28:02 In a stunning move, Apple has replaced the ‘Mac’ character, formerly played by Justin Long, with Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli. “We wanted the Mac character to epitimize cool”, Apple CEO Steve Jobs was quoted as saying. He continued, “Justin Long did a great job for us, but we felt the need to up the hip factor of our ads with the impending release of the Apple iPhone and an assortment of new Mac Books and Mac Pros slated to hit the market soon. We feel the ‘The Fonz’ will enhance our presense with our young and hip customer base.” Apple has a number of new ads in development with Mr. Fonzarelli.
