Hyundai’s new i-30 hatch, Ford’s Mondeo and the Volkswagen Caddy ‘Life’ and VW Tiguan SUV all going under the microscope of this Euro NCAP crash safety test. Vehicles were rated on three different categories, Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection and Pedestrian Protection, and received a separate score for each.  The Euro NCAP crash safety tests include crashing the vehicles head-on into an offset barrier at roughly 40mph, side impact collisions traveling at about 30mph, and pedestrian impacts, which are tested at 25mph.
