Freelancing
2008-05-20 10:41:00 Over the past few weeks I have been at dozens of interviews and the requests keep coming in. From all these available positions I turned down a few places and therefore my folks and some friends told me 'beggars can't be choosers' - Well, let's just get one thing straight here, I am not a beggar and if I'm not going to enjoy working at a certain company then chances are I won't stick around for long or I will be like the millions of other people out there who 'hate my job' - So i am a chooser. Put me in the right place with the right people and I will be your best employee. With that said, I am now waiting for the 'good' companies to get back to me to let me know if I've got the job or not and in the mean time I still have to make ends meet, so I will be taking on a few more freelance projects this month. Please feel free to get in touch if you require any of the following: - Graphic Design - Logo Design - CI Design - Multi media Presentations - Web Development & Desig...

The secret to freelancing
2008-02-05 01:02:00 Click the image to the right to see the full size page. Yesterdays picture was a punter launcher- well, maybe not, but it is the tower pylons of a ride called "The slingshot" you get in a little metal cage, they strap you down and fling you up into the sky, all for the low low cost of $35- bargain, eh? This was all at the Big Day Out, you can just see the beer-filled punters reeling up to the ride, loading themselves down and as the ride began it's upward accelerated launch thinking to themselves, "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea..." But back to the writing thing... "What does it take to write professionally?? a friend asked me the other afternoon, as he sat in his back yard, knocking back a stubby of Coopers Pale ale. I shrugged, ?Well, you gotta write every day,? I started, ?Yeah, I know that, but what else?? ?Well, you gotta practice, that means you?ve gotta write a lot,? ?Yeah, but what?s the trick to it all?? ?I guess it?s to write a lot,? I said, confused,...

Freelancing can be a rewarding career
2007-11-12 16:35:00 Making money online is a goal of many, but most don’t know where to start. Freelancing is a broad term given to those who sell a service or skill on the internet, or off for that matter. A freelancer is self-employed and takes on clients. He or she performs her skill or service for current customers and then moves on to new clients, occasionally repeating the service for existing patrons. |
