Toddler dies after being thrown on the freeway
2008-01-19 20:01:00 This happened two days ago in Hawaii: A man in hospital scrubs threw the toddler like a doll from a pedestrian overpass to a freeway humming with traffic. The boy fell 30 feet to the asphalt and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 23-year-old man was arrested after witnesses followed him and called police: The suspect, who was wearing green hospital scrubs, was taken to a police station and then to a hospital, police spokeswoman Michelle Yu said. She did not know whether he had a history of mental illness or a criminal record, but the man acted erratically after his arrest, screaming "Thank you!" into reporters' microphones and rocking back and forth in a police car. 2007-12-20 11:29:00 This is one of those articles that you read in December and think to yourself, "hmmm... bummer" and forget until it happens. Then, in June you lament daily when it happens and mark the calendar with a big red circle on the day it will be over. Apparently, the interstate that connects Ewa (pronounced eva) Beach and Kapolei is going to be completely closed on June 9th, 2008 for about 6 months. This will effect about 100,000 cars a day, rerouting them on a bypass while and old bridge is removed and a new one built to allow the construction of the new North-South road, which is planned on being completed in 2009. Drivers on the three lanes heading in each direction will be diverted to three newly built lanes along each side of the freeway for 4,500 feet and then get back on the freeway. Sounds simple enough. I think that the rumors of Beanie Siegel being broke just might have some truth to it, because Beans looked very broke and grimy. Beans Beside Beans' broke look, he was really pleasant and cool to talk to. Beans signed alot of autographs and took the time to talk personally to alot of the teens who recognized him. Now on the otherhand, Freeway was a complete jerk (like my corny line? LOL). He acted like he was to good to chat and barely wanted to sign autographs. That's not a good look for someone who has only sold 45,000 albums since his album released two weeks ago.
