2 lbs. ground beef 1 can condensed golden mushroom soup, undiluted 1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted 1 pkg. frozen crinkle cut french fries In skillet, brown beef; drain. Stir in soups. Pour into a greased 13×9x2 inch baking dish. Arrange french fries on top. Bake, uncovered, at 350, 50-55 minutes until fries are golden brown.

One of my friends had this picture of baked sweet potatoes in her Facebook album and of course I immediately wanted the recipe. Not that I hadn't come across the dish online but to see someone you know had tried it and with success, made me want to try it too. She passed me the link and I tried it the next day! I am nothing if not a sucker for "immediate" action when it comes to trying out simple recipes ;)Oven-baked sweet potato 'fries'The potatoes came out quite well and though TH would have preferred it with normal potatoes, I enjoyed the subtle sweet flavour and contrasting heat form the chillies. I also loved the fact that it requires very little time to prepare and most of the work is done by the oven anyway! For a simple weekend brunch, no matter what the main course, I always crave a side of home fries.  The humble potato is truly transformed into something exceptional when fried up alongside slivered onion and whatever else you may please, from the most rudimentary (salt and pepper) to something more hip and funky (green pepper, tomato and avocado).  While I’m basically a purist when it comes to home fries, I do like them flavorful.  Over the weekend, we cooked up a batch of my favorite version of home fries.  The process is incredibly easy.  I had just started thinking about it, so asked myself three essential questions:  1) Feel like potatoes?  Yep. 2) Feel like spice? As you'll probably soon learn, I have an obsession with orange vegetables. You're lucky this website didn't start during pumpkin season because I went absolutely pumpkin crazy. Pretty much everything I made and ate involved pumpkin of some sort. But since the holidays are over, I have to resort to other various orange vegetables. Last week was the squash soup, tonight was sweet potato fries. I recently got a mandoline and was very excited to put it to use for my fries. Of course, if you don't have a mandoline, you can simply cut your vegetables the old-fashioned way (also known as with a knife), but mandolines are fun to use and make everything easier. They are very sharp and dangerous though, so be careful! Loch is a wonderful 13 year old Gelding. He is trained solid First Level Dressage. With scores in the 60s at training level. He always gets 7-8s on gaits and impulsion. He loves the trail! Loves new things and takes it all in stride. He can do a dressage show in the morning and do a western show in the afternoon. He is a wonderful horse that needs his own person to love him. I have a younger horse that needs more of my time. Loch is sound, sane, UTD on shots, worming. He does wear shoes, but could go barefoot also. He has big drafty feet. He is a super easy keeper too. Hard to find a horse like this at this price. He must go to a wonderful home where he is going to be worked and loved!

Even though I may, on occasion, silently curse the sheer number of ads in certain magazines I do tend to enjoy browsing through them. I love what they provide me with...the ability to see detailed shots of some of the clothes or handbags I had my eye on...a chance to gain a sense of the woman that the designer sees wearing their clothes (and her lifestyle)...But the ads for Marc Jacobs' Spring/Summer collection just confuses me. I like Juergen Teller's photography but why would a shot of writer/director Harmony Korine tucking into fast food like he hasn't eaten for a week induce me to spend vast sums of money on clothes? Join Weight Watchers, maybe. But shop? Not so much.
