Last Minute Header Denies United All Three Points
2010-08-22 21:11:00 Manchester United haven't had much luck in the last two games against Fulham at Craven Cottage, losing both times. They went into the game without striker Wayne Rooney, who had picked up a stomach virus, Rio Ferdinand, Anderson and Owen Hargreaves were all out injured. It looked like United's luck had changed after an own goal handed them the lead, which was followed minutes later by a fortunate penalty handed to the away side. Luis Nani's penalty was saved by keeper David Stockdale, Fulham then went on to get an equaliser in the 89th minute. Paul Scholes opened up the scoring with one of his trademark strikes. The 25-yard screamer was his 150th goal for Man United.Fulham should have equalised through Dickson Etuhu but Edwin Van Der Sar made a fantastic double save. 57 minutes in Fulham had themselves an equaliser. Bobby Zamora pulled the ball back to Simon Davies who put it past Van Der Sar from 12-yards out. The home side should have been awarded a penalty after Nemanja V...

Fulham To Play Bournemouth & New Kits!
2009-06-05 15:11:00 It’s been a couple of weeks since I have spoke of Fulham here at TryGol.com. I’m not much for posting transfer market rumors, especially the summer transfer season because it lasts so damn long. Whenever we sign a new player, I will pass that along though. If you want up to the minute transfer rumor coverage, ...

Fulham, Fire & Rugby…Oh My!
2009-05-16 02:41:00 Take Fulham, add some Fire & sprinkle in a dash of rugby and you have the recipe for Jason’s perfect weekend! But people have their own individual tastes. No matter what you’re hungry for, I got you covered with this weekend’s U.S. TV Broadcast schedule. Setanta Sports will take care of two of my “meals” on Saturday. First my beloved Cottagers travel to St.James Park to take on Newcastle and minutes after the final whistle blows, Setanta will air the Guinness Premiership finals. At 4pm I allow my wife to re-gain access to the television as I head to the computer to watch the Chicago Fire vs Toronto FC game via MLSLive.tv. I’ll continue to say this, MLS Live is the best $20 per season any MLS fan could spend, especially since that is the only way I can watch the majority of Chicago’s games this season. Other weekend highlights include: -Manchester United versus Arsenal. Not only is this a Big 4 battle, but Man U could wrap up the league...

Chelsea Dominates Fulham
2009-05-02 18:06:00 Well so much for my prediction. Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink fielded a very strong side and Chelsea showed their superior class in a 3-1 drubbing of Fulham at Stamford Bridge. Fulham were hampered by piss poor defensive play not to mention fresh injury concerns. Following Anelka’s first minute goal, Erik Nevland responded quckly, beating Petr Cech in ...

2009-04-29 00:57:00 Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has much on his mind lately. The manager of the year candidate (in my biased opinion) has his squad poised to invade Europe next season when most pundits felt pre-season that Fulham would be once again fighting relegation. Much like last season, Fulham have something to play for as this season draws to ...

Fulham-Man City Extended Coverage Begins Friday
2009-04-09 15:04:00 Last week we offered “extended coverage” of Fulham’s match versus Liverpool. It was basically 48 hours filled with updates, quotes & mindless rambling.
