Usually top must-haves of a tourist are a map, handy bag/wallet, cellphone, passport etc. When I first arrived in Beijing, I got the map but I couldn’t quite understand the roads. Beijing is a really big area to navigate through. The free map will only tell you the usual so you can skip that. When you get to Beijing, go to a restaurant in Chaoyang and for sure they have free copies of That’s Beijing magazine. This never ceases to amaze me of all the things you can actually go, do, explore in Beijing. For typical English speaking tourists, this is a very helpful piece to bring around if you want to try something new. I recently came across this on Digg.com. It's a feature that shows some of the major gaming magazines first issues, then the most current ones, to give you an idea of how the gaming industry, as well as the magazines themselves, has changed. I thought it was neat to see that one of the first game mags came out in 1981... I'm sure not many people still have it today, but to me that is impressive. Very cool article. Any fan of games, or game magazines owes it to themself to check it out. I myself subscribe to PC Gamer, and Gamepro magazines, and I'd say they are pretty good quality publications. It's just kind of funny to see how far gaming has come.Thank you for subscribing to my blog!
