On a resent trip to the mall I did not follow the route but took some short cuts I know. It had no problem recalculating the route to my destination. I am very pleased with the size and brightness of the screen. I would definitely put Garmin nuvi260W on your list to consider if you want a no frills GPS that does what a GPS is supposed to do.
