[On Wednesday night,] we saw Gary Oldman being driven back and forth from the set to his trailer. They were being very secretive.They pushed everyone out two blocks from where they were shooting. We tried to get as close as possible but the best we could do was get 20 feet from the motorcycles.I have some great pictures on my camera I will send once I get back to Seattle.The security guards were our best source of information. They told us where they were shooting and we headed down there. They will be shooting for the next few nights.When we arrived, we found a spot a block away. However, from our vantage point, we were very limited in seeing anything. We headed down to LaSalle to get the best view.We could see the overturned semi truck and a large crowd of people. But this was at least as much because it's my favorite novel (so far), as because the movie was great. And there were a few things things I didn't love about the movie.What I loved:My wife and I saw the movie in an IMAX theater in White Plains, where all the action in the Department of Mysteries and slightly before was in 3-D - old fashioned glasses that were distributed and all. And it was marvelous. Characters and flashes and all kinds of stuff leapt right off the screen.Gary Oldman was superb as Sirius. The guy can't miss. One of my top-ten favorite scenes in all movies is Oldman's bit as Drexl in True Romance. And Oldman was true to his uniquely intense presence in The Order of the Phoenix.
