2007-11-16 20:17:00 I know I've been posting a lot about Pattie Boyd lately, but the woman's life kind of fascinates me. How many girls can say they were married to two of rock and roll's greatest? Now I've just discovered her official website. It's chock full of personal photos of her and George Harrison, and even more of her with Eric Clapton. Check out the Polaroids section. Clapton apparently likes animals as much as he liked alcohol. There are a few pictures where he obviously looks stoned. I seriously think these two crazy kids need to get back together. Never mind that Clapton married a graphic designer half his age. It's pretty obvious that he and Pattie still carry torches for each other. What are the odds that the both of them released autobiographies within weeks of each other? They'd make a better couple now in their wiser older age and without the drugs and booze.

More interesting was the fact that Blondie had the longest time period between number 1 records until the posthomous arrival of My Sweet Lord by George Harrison. Somewhat ironic I suppose.I remember for Show and Tell at New Gilston Primary School, we had to bring in something musical and I brought in a Wagner LP of Tannheuser, which I thought was very inspiring. Unfortunately it was widely ridiculed by my peers. My friend John Callan brought in his older brothers 45 of My Sweet Lord, which I found very boring, but which was deemed to be very cool by everybody else. I still think it is boring, but there you go.

Ha tetszik, ha nem, Å‘k a XX. század egyik legnagyobb zenei kidudorodása. S bár tudom, hogy a zenekar két fÅ‘ koponyája Lennon és McCartney voltak, nekem mindÃg George volt a legszimpatikusabb.2002-ben megjelent Brainwashed cÃmű lemeze szereintem ma is aktuális, az agymosás ugyanis azóta csak fokozódott. 2006-12-02 16:13:17 Hard to believe, but it was five years ago today (November 29th, 2001) that George Harrison lost his long battle with cancer and died at the age of 58. His legacy was secured as soon as the Beatles started making records in the early 1960s, but Harrison wasn't content to just be a sideman to John Lennon and Paul McCartney.His contributions to the Beatles included the songs "Taxman," "Something," and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and his solo career kicked off with the Number One hit "My Sweet Lord" and Number One album All Things Must Pass. He was also responsible for The Concert For Bangla Desh, which was the first major rock and roll fundraiser, paving the way for countless other music-supported benefits over the years. He later went on to become a member of the Traveling Wilburys with Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne, finally securing himself legendary status.
