A distribution deal was signed with Peace Arch Entertainment for showing What We Do Is Secret in, at a minimum, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.Rodger Grossman spent ten years trying to get the film made. The final product stars Shane West (ER, Once & Again) as Darby Crash. Crash died of a drug overdose in 1980.In a 2005 Billboard interview, director Grossman said of West, "He committed to doing this role in a way that I've never seen an actor commit to do anything. He read all the books that Darby read. He got blue contacts and prosthetic teeth permanently affixed to his, which had to be 'chipped out' so his teeth were more like Darby's." West was so good that he went on to tour with the reformed group as lead singer in recent years.

The Regulations have been making a name for themselves world-wide by sort of fitting in with the whole throwback hardcore crowd, but never sacrificing good song writing for the sake of speed or politics, which is a pretty refreshing thing in the scene nowadays. The Different Needs EP is special because it's so unashamedly punk, like the stuff I got into when I was a little kid and couldn't get enough of, before I moved onto more heavier, obscure stuff. You could play this for those snobs with metal all over their jackets who think punk died in '82 and refuse to go anywhere near a real punk gig, and they would talk about it like they got it, if you catch my drift. 2007-09-03 18:54:00 Water purification is generally an energy-intensive, wasteful operation, but designers Alberto Medo and Francisco Gomez Paz have done a neat end-run around those problems with their Solar Bottle, a portable water bottle that purifies water using the sun. The bottle, which holds just over a gallon of water, uses a purification process called SODIS that takes six hours to kill off a whole host of baddies, including Oregon Trail favorites cholera, typhoid and dysentery. Just a concept for now, but the design has been well-received and won several awards, so hopefully someone will step up and take it into production soon.
