I'm giving serious consideration to writing that book appropriately titled, I Fucked Up. Now what? Over the last week I've had an epiphany that my discipline skills are not up to par. The Avalanche have released the entire schedule for the Rookie/Training/Scrimmage Camp beginning on September 8, just five merciful days from now. On the 8th, the rookies will report to camp for three days of intense training sessions, the best of whom will be chosen to try out for the team once the official training camp begins. On September 13th, the veteran players will report for medical checks, physical tests and Joe Sakic will receive his annual oil change.   Then, on the 14th, the fun begins when the team hits the ice for the real deal: two consecutive days of three-hour sessions that will determine the 20-man roster for this season's team.  Immediately following the final day of training camp will be the Burgundy/White team scrimmage.  Then, the very next day, the Avalanche play their first preseason game at Phoenix. In this video Bush proposes a 1500 dollar tax credit to families who are self employed like my wife and myself so that we can afford health insurance. This is a man who clearly has either never had to pay for his own insurance or never had to worry about being able to afford health care. That 1500 dollar tax credit for families means that you would have 125 dollars a month to spend on health insurance. That might buy you a family policy with a 5000 dollar deductible. Maybe 2500 if you can find a really really good deal. Once again if you can’t afford the deductible your insurance is worthless. This ridiculous idea is not going to help Americas uninsured anymore than it does now.
