Columbia Pictures has decided to remove "Ghostbusters 3"

Columbia Pictures has decided to remove the third part "Ghostbusters 3", informs Variety. The studio has employed producers of a serial "The Office" Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky as scripwriters of a picture in which again will play Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson. However, contracts with actors will not be signed before end of job above the script. We shall remind, that the first film "Ghostbusters", left in June, 1984, at cost of 30 million dollars has collected in hire more than 200 million. "Ghostbusters" were the most profitable film of studio while the record of a picture was beaten with a tape "MEN IN BLACK". Continuation of a picture has been removed in 1989. Scripts of first two parts have been written Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd, and the director of both pictures were Ivan Reitman. So soon well or nearly so soon becomes millions admirers "Ghostbusters" can recollect a youth and rough 90 years :-)

About two and a half years ago Terminal Reality went to game developer Sierra to show them a game they had been working on, and although they liked the game as well as the technology used Sierra asked why not do a Ghostbusters game instead as they told them that the Ghostbusters icon is the second most known icon in the world. Terminal Reality then asked Sierra if it was a good property in which they replied it is a great property. So six month past in which time Terminal Reality were able to come up with a great tech demo to show what they wanted to do with Ghostbusters, this was done by using their infernal engine. They wrote the software for the Sony PS3 first then the Xbox 360 and finally the PC. It was easier to do the programming first on the Sony PlayStation 3 as the same model can then be used on the Xbox 360 and PC. Late next year, Vivendi/Sierra will be releasing a Ghostbusters game for the Nintendo DS, PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. The game is being developed by Dan Ackroyd and Harold Ramis so we know that the feel of the game will hold true to the original movies. I'd still much rather have another movie in the works to report to you today, but since that isn't the case, I'll settle for what looks to be a fairly nice game. Motivated by the success of other classic movies-turned-video games (Scarface, The Godfather), Sony has inked a deal to make the campy Ghostbusters franchise into a video game. What's more, not only will all four of the main movie guys (Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray, and Harold Ramis) and some of the supporting actors (William Atherton, Annie Potts) be lending their voices and likeness to the game, but Akroyd and Ramis will also be writing a story for it. Aykroyd and Ramis' story will take place in the early '90s, after Ghostbusters II, "during a new ghoul invasion of New York City." What other beloved '80s movies would make good video games? Eurogamer are reporting that the world famous Ghostbusters franchise will finally get an airing on todays gaming platforms: Vivendi Games has confirmed to Eurogamer that it is set to publish a new game based on hit eighties movie Ghostbusters.
