MSI and Gigabyte are launching 8.9 to 10 inch low cost laptops for less than $500. MSI have showcased their Wind laptop at CeBIT 2008 which will feature 8.9- or 10-inch displays with prices between 299-699 Euros (US$470-1099). The features will include 2.5-inch hard disk or SSD drive, 8.9-inch and 10-inch panels with 1,024 x 768 pixel resolutions, 1GHz to 1.6GHz processors and 1GB of memory.
