Contact: Joanna Burgos, Contact Phone: (651) 467-2728FULL TEXT TRANSCRIPT: Almost exactly one year ago during a Republican presidential debate in Durham, New Hampshire, I said that if I weren't running for President myself, I'd be supporting John McCain. Well, I'm not, and I do.Every four years, we are told that this Presidential election is the most important election of our lifetime. This year - 2008 - IS the most important. This has already been historic. It is the longest Presidential campaign in history. And it sometimes felt even longer. The American people realize this election represents a turning point. In two months they will decide the future direction of our nation. It's a decision to follow one path or another.'We the people' - the citizens of the United States - get to decide our next president ... not the media, not...
Giuliani - Just Dumber
2008-09-04 09:16:00
Listening to mocking laughter by the hall when Giuliani mentioned that Obama was a "community organizer" made me physically ill. The Republicans believe that it's wrong for government to step in to solve community problems. And evidently, they believe that it's wrong for ordinary people to try and ...

If I wanted to win an election, and I needed people to run my field operations across the Country, I’m not so sure that my first phone call would be to the person who developed the failed Rudy Giuliani Florida or bust strategy, especially since that strategy went, well.. bust: The Republican National Committee has hired ...

The Cardinal Egan and Rudy Giuliani Show: Both Know Better
2008-04-29 18:42:00
New York?s Cardinal Egan yesterday indicated he was upset about Rudi Giuliani?s reception of Holy Communion during the recent visit of Benedict XVI. His Eminence indicated the ex-Gotham mayor had violated their mutual understanding. Well quite frankly, Your Eminence, that is not a credible explanation of Giuliani?s reception of Holy Communion, nor does it remove ...
I Miss Giuliani
2008-04-14 18:12:00
As much as I hope McCain prevails over either of the Democratic candidates, I have to say, he's no Rudy.  Besides that, he's a bit old.  Deep down, I'm a little concerned over his longevity. Still, I do like the people surrounding him.  I think former Democratic Senator, and neo-independent Joseph Lieberman would make an excellent Secretary of State.  Giuliani would be very good in the role of Attorney General. My one true remaining fear is that McCain picks the populist, Baptist minister Huckabee as his running mate.  This would assure his defeat, as he would lose all independent appeal.  Someone like Romney would be a much safer bet. I miss the idea of Giuliani as President.  He ran a good campaign--too clean, in many senses.  Hopefully he will be a major part of the next administration...   Technorati Tags: mccain,lieberman,giuliani,hucka-bee,GOP,republicans,campaign 2008

What do Rudy Giuliani, Bruce Springsteen, & SpongeTech (SPNG) Have in Commo
2008-04-09 16:25:00
No, that’s not the beginning of some joke with a corny punch line - they really do have something in common. What is it? They’re all huge Yankees fans. Giuliani you probably knew about; “The Boss’s” affinity is a little less public. SpongeTech’s (SPNG) support is coming in the form of team sponsorship. SpongeTech will be giving ...

Mitt Romney Suspends His Campaign for President
2008-02-08 04:18:00
So, today, Mitt Romney announced that he was SUSPENDING his campaign (not endorsing anyone, just suspending campaigning - and the media is really screwing up their reporting on this).  The announcement came as a surprise during his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) (which I’m at, but I didn’t hear his speech - I’ve ...
Giuliani baseball card will irk Boston, New York fans
2008-02-06 16:28:00
The Topps Co. is about to give a shot. When the venerable baseball cards hit the stores this week, there will be an insert involving former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani that will be sure to offend, oh, uncounted millions according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Yankees fans won't like it, Red Sox fans won't like it and failed Republican presidential candidate Rudy sure as heck won't like it, either. About one in every 70 Topps packs will include a picture of Giuliani, fist raised in victory, celebrating with the Red Sox on the field after their World Series win last fall.Huh? A native New Yorker, Rudy not only loves the Yankees, he hates the "Sawks.'' But Topps is just having a little fun with imaging. Giuliani had managed to alienate some Yankee fans last fall by saying he was rooting for Boston in the Series — "I'm an American League fan," he said — and Topps ran with the idea.

A Musical Tribute to John Edwards & Rudy Giuliani

The only candidates remaining today - on Super Tuesday - are Hillary Clinton, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Barack Obama, John McCain, Ron Paul and Ronald Reagan. Nevertheless, Bullshattuck still thought it would be appropriate and gentleman-like (no offense to the gentleladies) to pay a special tribute to John Edwards and Rudy Giuliani (whose campaign imploded like, as Rudy might say, "the World Trade Center on 9/11"). The following musical tribute is courtesy of BarelyPolitical.com.

One Thing Killed Rudy Giuliani

Godzilla retail clerkFlickr Photo by: goribob.I do not tolerate incorrect sales clerk behaviour. For example, on the very few occasions that I make a purchase with cash, I do not want coins and bills to be shoved onto my hand altogether on top of my receipt. That is, if the sales amount is $1.40 and I hand the clerk $5.00, the clerk should first lay the bill perpendicularly on the note trays of the cash register (as proof of what denomination was handed him in case the customer mis-remembers) and then announce the result of the transaction in a voice I can hear, that is, "$1.40 out of $5.00, here is your change, three dollars and sixty cents" then put 60 cents into my hand at which point the customer can do one of two things: transfer the coins elsewhere or keep the hand open for the rest of the change. Then the clerk should put three singles onto my outstretched palm, at which point the customer can do one of two things: transfer the coins/bills elsewhere or keep the hand open f...

The Edwards and Giuliani Factors in W.Va.
2008-01-31 13:45:00
Republican Rudy Giuliani was counting on 41 delegates to the state GOP convention before dropping out of the race. Just eight of his 63 supporters who signed up for at-large seats won in the recent voting.Giuliani had also visited West Virginia twice in 2007, more than any candidate except fellow Republican Mitt Romney. But his efforts in the Mountain State suffered a blow with the death of his point man here, Robert Gould. As of Sept. 30, Giuliani had raised more than $113,000 in West Virginia, more than any other candidate save Democrat Hillary Clinton, from more than 90 donors.John Edwards, meanwhile, had raised $92,000 from 169 West Virginians as of Sept. 30 (more recent reports should be posted within the next week).Ending his presidential bid Wednesday, Edwards had also visited West Virginia in 2007. His wife headlined a fundraiser as well - though by phone, after having scheduled an in-person appearance.

Edwards And Giuliani Drop Out And The Republican Debate
2008-01-31 03:56:00
Both John Edwards and Rudy Giuliani ended their presidential bids today. I supported Edwards and I'm dissapointed that his message wasn't heard more. I think he had the best message of any candidate. Unfortunately for Edwards, he was running against the Clinton machine and the hype that is Barack Obama. The media has drooled over Hillary from the start and started to drool over Barack once his campaign gained momentum. Edwards was overshadowed by the two and his message just wasn't able to get heard. I think if Edwards was just running against one or the other then he would have had a great chance to win the nomination but with both Hillary and Obama in the race his message was just too overshadowed. As for Giuliani. His withdrawl from the race isn't surprising. His strategy was flawed from the beginning and he never seemed to have the pulse on what the public really wanted. He focused on terrorism and his only proposal for fixing the economy was more tax cuts. That just wasn't ...

Perhaps it is time to move on and find someone else to play with.’” — Londo Mollari, Babylon 5 Hey, wasn’t someone else dropping out of the 2008 campaign again? Who was it? Fred Thompson? Oh, yeah, right–this guy: Giuliani’s unconventional strategy of largely bypassing the early voting states and focusing on more populous, delegate-rich states produced just one delegate, a bunch of sixth-place finishes and made him the odd man out. His best showing was Florida, where he had staked his candidacy. He finished a distant third. It was a remarkable defeat for the ex-mayor who entered the race more than a year ago with an aura of invincibility, leading national polls and earning a reputati...
