2008-01-10 09:35:00 Actress Glenn Close has revealed that she was petrified of starring alongside Michael Douglas in ‘Fatal Attraction’ because he had become a famous celebrity in Hollywood circles in those days. She says that the shooting for the 1987 thriller had a shaky start as she considered herself to be an incompatible match for Douglas. "I was kind of intimidated by Michael Douglas when we started. He seemed so deeply Hollywood, a world that I wasn't a part of, and we didn't communicate well,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying. "But when we started working together it was great. We didn't exactly become friends, but we always enjoy it when our paths cross," she added. (ANI)

2007-08-09 14:59:00 On her FX series, "Damages," Glenn Close enjoys playing the character of legal eagle, Patty Hewes, whose success as a high-stakes litigator in New York City has suffered little from her apparent lack of scruples. In fact, it could probably be argued that it was her character's moral flexibility that allowed her to climb to the top of her game. Surprisingly, though, Glenn was warned about taking the risk of flexing her acting muscles by starring in a TV series, as opposed to sticking to the big screen. "I have always been seduced by really good writing. Very early on in my career, I made the decision to go where the writing was at a time when I was told, after doing The World According to Garp, if I did anything on television, it might really affect my career in film.
