Golden State Warriors Owner Disses Oakland On Channel 5 KPIX

Dennis asked Lacob about the possibility of moving the GS Warriors to San Francisco. Rather than defend Oakland, Lacob did not rule out the possibility, he just said that the Golden (Read More...)
Chicago Bulls @ Golden State Warriors, 3:00 PM WGN
2010-01-18 20:05:00 Last time the Bulls visited the Warriors, Derrick Rose took over down the stretch and won the game for Chicago. Tonight, Rose and the Bulls will look to build on their four-game winning streak. After a double-overtime win against Washington, Chicago moved to 18-20 on the season.Rose scored a career-high 37 points, pulled down nine rebounds and dished 6 assists at the United Center, only 24 hours after taking over in the fourth quarter at Boston. The former top pick is beginning to live up to expectations....
Chicago Bulls vs Golden State Warriors, 7:00 PM CSN-Chicago
2009-12-11 20:14:00 To put it mildly; the Bulls are struggling. The team has lost nine of their last ten games, and that by a combined 162 points. Or an average of 18 points per game. Against Atlanta on Wednesday, the Bulls got tourched by former Bull Jamal Crawford and lost the game 83-118. Rookie forward James Johnson contributed 17 points, with the majority of those coming late in the fourth quarter. Tonight, the Bulls go up against a team that likes to run; the Golden State Warriors. Led by guard Monta Ellis (24.4 points a contest), the Warriors are scoring 108.6 points a game. They are giving up 112.5 themselves, as their defense leaves a lot to be desired. ...

Webber Signing Looking Like A Waste
2008-02-10 19:14:00 Chris Webber has played two games with the Warriors and it seems like he is just out there stealing other players minutes. In two games he has played a total of 27 minutes and scored a total of 6 points. 14 of those 27 minutes were played yesterday. Golden State would have be much better ...
Webber Played His First Game With The Warriors Last Night
2008-02-08 16:08:00 Webber played his first game with the Warriors last night. He played 13 minutes and had 4 points on two of five shooting and 1 rebound. Overall I think the signing looks like a waste. It is cool to sign Webber if you want to get a bit deeper or have him as a just ...

Chris Webber Going Back To Golden State
2008-01-29 04:00:00 Chris Webber is going back to Golden State to reunite with Don Nelson. He will be paid a pro-rated share of the veteran’s minimum salary, meaning he will make about $570,000 for the rest of the season. A lot of people, including me are curious to see how this move turns out because the Warriors are ...
Chris Webber On His Way Back to the Golden State Warriors
2008-01-28 06:26:00 Looks like veteran Chris Webber has finally made up his mind about making his return to the NBA, but it is not that fact that he is coming back that is surprising, it is where he is going to suit up.It's seems as though Chris Webber will end up playing for the Golden State Warriors once again, where he began his career and won the Rookie of the Year award way back in 1994 (14 years ago). Webber will be playing for Warriors coach Don Nelson, who had problems with back in '94 when he requested a trade, which he got and was traded to the Washington Wizards (known as the Bullets back then).Reportedly, Don Nelson and Webber put their differences behind them a few years ago back in 2002 when Nelson was coaching the Dallas Mavericks and was selected to coach the Western Conference All Stars. In that game, Shaq was injured and Nelson started Webber in his place. If all is well and good with the Warriors, Webber will be paid a pro-rated veteran minimum of 1.2 million, not bad for playing ha...

Warriors: Let Don Nelson Retire.
2007-08-28 17:24:00 The more rumors I read about the Don Nelson situation, the more certain I am the Warriors should let him go. The basic conflict goes like this: Don Nelson wants a guaranteed contract for three more years at $5 million per year (depending on what rumors you choose to believe). The Warriors, led by GM ...

Warriors Dumps Foyle
2007-08-14 21:37:00 The Golden State Warriors have dumped some dead weight from the team by buying out Adonal Foyle. Barnes IS Returning
2007-08-06 15:50:00 From Janny Hu of the San Francisco Chronicle: Months after his “Believe” tattoo became intertwined with the Warriors’ playoff slogan, Matt Barnes is believing in himself again. Watching History [David Stefanini]
2007-05-04 06:33:00 Since I wrote these words..."The game and this series may be over."It seems as if the Golden State Warriors have responded and said you are correct, only it's the Mavericks who are finished. I wrote that quote when I saw Baron Davis hobble off the court, and heard the reports about how his playing ability will be affected. But he went on to come back onto the floor late in the 2nd quarter and went on a scoring spree. He scored 11 straight points for the Warriors at one point. Then the 3rd quarter happened. Stephen Jackson exploded, hitting three after three, and the lead has shot up to, 82-59 with 1:33 remaining in the 3rd.This is simply amazing to watch. This is going to go down as the greatest upset in NBA history if they can find a way to hold on to this lead.Everybody knows the Mavericks have one final run in them to try to save their season. We all saw it in Game 5 when they went on a 15-0 run to end the game, and force a Game 6. The Warriors need to keep attacking, and keep th...

Warriors may Have already Lost *Update* [David Stefanini]
2007-05-04 05:05:00 The game and this series may be over.Baron Davis had to leave the game with an apparent hamstring injury. Watching the game, the commentators are saying it looks to be a hamstring injury that will most likely keep Davis out for at least the end of the first half. The energy that was beaming from the crowd is no longer there. The Warriors faithful have seen their only chance to win this series hobble off the court with an injury. The only thing I can hope for is that I misunderstood what the commentators said, or that they are just wrong. Hopefully Davis can come back out and play at 100% and lead his team the way he has. This is such an unfortunate post that I have to write. I was very excited to watch this game tonight and I was expecting fireworks from both teams. I wanted to see both teams at 100% giving everything they had. Now I may have to watch the Dallas Mavericks roll right over the Warriors, because they are missing their star player. If Davis is injured, the Mavericks become...

Are You Ready? [David Stefanini]
2007-05-04 04:51:00 Here it is ladies and gentleman, the game the Golden State Warriors have been waiting for, for 11 years. Tonight at home the Golden State Warriors can complete the biggest upset in the history of playoff basketball. If they can do it tonight it will be their first series win in 11 years. As I am writing this the Warriors have already kicked it up into high gear. After giving up a 3 point shot on the opening possession the Warriors have gone on a 7-0 run. The crowd is alive and proving to be the best home court in these playoffs. This is going to be a very well played game. I want the Warriors to win because I despise the Dallas Mavericks. I think the team, like the owner, are nothing more than cry babies who complain about anything and everything. Since my Lakers were eliminated last night it is time for me to find a new team. As I am concluding this post, Baron Davis throws a half court pass to a wide-open Jason Richardson for an explosive dunk. The crowd goes crazy and the Warriors ...

NBA Playoff Update 4.27.07 [David Stefanini]
2007-04-28 18:00:00 There are only three words to say about last nights action in the NBA Playoffs. Those words are: upset, upset, upset. The New Jersey Nets beat the Toronto Raptors, 102-89 to take a 2-1 series lead. The Chicago Bulls beat the Miami Heat 104-96, to take a 3-0 series lead. The Golden State Warriors, yes the Warriors, beat the Dallas Mavericks 109-91, to take a 2-1 series lead. I can not begin to write in words what I feel about the Warriors game. They looked like a much better, more talented, and hungrier team. The Dallas Mavericks are going to be in very big trouble if they can not find someone on this planet to guard Baron Davis. This series should be a great one and has all the makings of a seven game series. One final thought on last nights action. The Nets are showing they are a team to be reckon with. With the Miami Heat falling down 0-3 in their series they Eastern Conference just opened up that much more. The Nets have a good shot at getting out of the East. Hopefully they can...

What in the World... [David Stefanini]
2007-04-28 05:46:00 What is happening in Golden State right now? The Dallas Mavericks look like a helpless 8 seed against a much more talented Warriors team. Everything is going right for the Golden State Warriors. Watching this game J. Mark English and myself, were saying how the Warriors have no fear of the Mavs, and are controlling the tempo of the game. An 8th seeded team should not dictate the tempo to a 1 seed in a playoff game. But that is exactly what is happening. Also, Baron Davis his having the game and series of his life. Nobody on the Mavs can stop him. He looks like the best player on the court and to be honest, he very well may be. If he stays healthy the Warriors can be good; very good for a long time. One final thought on the first half:Where in the world is Dirk Nowitzki? Every time he gets the ball he looks lost, and his odds of winning the MVP fall lower and lower. I know playoff performance doesn't count for the MVP voting, but we all know the voters are watching these games.Dirk if...

NBA Playoff Update 4.25. 2007 [David Stefanini]
2007-04-26 06:25:00 Three games were on the schedule for the 25th of April. The Mavs looked to fend off an 0-2 deficit, to a clearly inferior team. LeBron James and the Cavs looked to take care of their home court advantage; and the Nuggets looked to keep the upsets coming by beating the Spurs. The Nuggets did not get their wish tonight. Tim Duncan and Manu Ganobli made crucial baskets late in the game and at key moments when Denver was making a run. In the 3rd quarter it looked as if this game was going to get out of hand and the Spurs were going to run away with it. However, the fire power of the two headed monster that is the Denver Nuggets would not let that happen. Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony took the Nuggets on a run to bring them within striking distance late in the 4th quarter. The Spurs then answered by going to their big guy, Tim Duncan, who made a turn around hook with under a minute to go to really put the game out of reach. If you are a Nuggets fan you should still be very happy. The ...
