Goldfinger hasn't changed which is evident on their sixth full length record Hello Destiny.Goldfinger still plays their signature third-wave ska sound. They mix elements of ska, and pop punk into quick, catchy songs. Hello Destiny sees Goldfinger get a little more political than previous releases. Leadsinger John Feldmann has always been a big activist for Animal Liberation Front but this album they go after even more standard subjects like the war in Iraq.I'm not a huge Goldfinger fan but I have always enjoyed their singles. Something about this album just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe its having a song titled "Handjobs for Jesus" that makes the album easy to come into with a bad attitude, but this record just lacks something. The album doesn't seem fun.
