2007-12-31 15:25:00 Idag är det nyårsafton och jag börjar känna mig ledig för första gången på evigheter. Julen firades med familjen i vårt nybyggda hus. Nycklarna fick vi den 13 december så vi har väl inte direkt fått ordning på allt. Gran har vi i alla fall och pumlor och glitter från IKEA. I förrgår var sista föreställningen med operan och igår låg jag mest framför TV:n och slappade. Som jag har längtat efter en sådan dag! Ikväll blir det lugnt nyårsfirande hemma hos svärpäronen med skaldjur, oxfilé och skumpa - känns klassiskt! What I've Gotten Myself Into

Everyone else was right, and I was lazy, and now I'm going back to school and are you happy now dammit??!!The only problem is, I don't want to become a RN, I just want to BE a RN. I've worked in that capacity as a LPN for years. I don't want to sit in class, I don't want to go to clinicals. I'm old enough to be my classmate's mother. I have four kids to raise, a husband, rent to pay, and of course there's the Internet that needs tending to. I currently have no financial aid, no childcare, tons of conflicts with my work schedule . . . but I can't continue to make excuses. It'll have to work itself out, because I'll never do it if I think too much. In 2 years I'll be able to get a job I want, at the pay I'm worth, in the field I excel in.I start on Monday.

Anytime they’ve got a story or a column even faintly related to a book or video they sell in their shop, they’ll post a link to that item immediately after the link to the story or column.
