Helped Grandad with Therapy
2008-03-25 02:53:00 Earlier today I went to go see my grandad and we did some physical therapy. I have just started to do this with him and its a great way to spend some time and keep those muscles going. At times I could tell he get s upset with me because I ake him move his limbs and all sorts of exercises on the medicine ball. We hung out and I was online for most of the day chatting away, what else right?

Grandad Dunhill and Jocular Jones
2008-02-02 11:38:00 It's most likely old news to all of you by now but Kim Jones, renowned London-based menswear designer and pioneer of the electric 80s club scene, is set to blow the dust off quintessentially British label - Dunhill. It was reported just last week [yes, I know, am painfully, frustratingly slow with the latest!] that Jones has assumed the role of creative director of the brand and has also - unfortunately - left his own-name brand to veg for a while until he identifies a time fit for rejuvenating it.Speaking of rejuvenation, there's really no better choice than Jones for instigating some of that at Dunhill. His penchant for the mixing of muted neons and greys, streetwise baggy tees and soccer-style image is sure to ruffle a few Dunhill-loyal feathers. Famous for its rather classic menswear, which some even denounce as 'fuddy-duddy', and distinguished leather goods, Dunhill is unquestionably a British house in every sense of the word. A brief scanning of their site informs one of; ...

Watch Out, Grandad?s About! Car Insurance For The Over 60?s
2007-12-08 01:46:00 The older generation typically get discounts on a lot of things. Car insurance isn't one of them. Statistically, older drivers are the safest, yet once a driver hits 60, their premiums start to creep up.In fact, the over 80's are considered as high a risk as the under 25's. Their premiums could match that of a 19 year old boy racer - that's if they can find a company that will insure them. Many won't insure anyone over the age of 70.In the younger generations, women drivers are considered the lowest risk, but after old age hits, that changes. In an elderly man and woman of the same age, the man will typically be more alert and less accident-prone than the woman. Therefore, the older woman gets a taste of higher premiums than her younger counterparts. So why do insurers seem to discriminate against the elderly? The undeniable fact is that as traffic becomes more and more congested on our roads, older drivers can get confused and disoriented easier. Even a split second hesitation ...
Fun First Days For Grandad
2007-10-15 08:27:00 No sooner had Grandad's feet touched ground we had him whisked away to see some of the local sights. With the weather being as it is in Welly this time of year we pretty much just have to decide on the morning what we are going to do. Saturday morning the weather was windy but crystal clear, so after a BBQ breakfast we headed up to the Brooklyn Wind Turbine. The views were amazing and we had a wonderful windy experience! We then headed up to collect our fancy dress costumes and afterwards to stopped off at Petone and took a stroll along the beach and into The Settlers Museum. We have been a few times already but its always a welcome stop off as its a wonderfully interesting place. We then took a little drive around the coast to Eastbourne and stopped off at a gorgeous little beach cafe for a coffee and ice creams. Sunday was another beautiful day, after breakfast we headed off to the Owhiro Bay School Fair, the walk down through Owhiro is always a nice one. Michael going all native...
