I spent part of the morning renewing my state identification, just so Homeland Security won't pester me about having 'my papers'. And so I begin my slow approach to 30, without the risk of being arrested for a lack of identification......and unfortunately, without a cake or a stripper... lolI still don't quite feel older. The earth in which the pit had been dug had the smell of timeless eternity. I can't describe the excited tranquility that ran through me as I looked down into the dug pit of the earth to see ...... an ancient box, like a sarcophagus. On it's dark lid was deeply inscribed a large pentacle of protection and identification. The sight was electrifying!I came awake as the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. The poem was successful. Not only did it earn us 100's, but she entered it into a small contest in which one of her AP English classes voted for the best poem.
