The New Green Great Pyramid
2008-04-13 00:00:00
The Egyptian pyramids were built for eternity but only for one single person: the great Pharaoh. A green project called The Great Pyramid is open to every individual and can potentially be any human being?s grave or memorial site. As monumental as it is affordable, it serves all nationalities and religions. Individuals who are either unwilling or unable to have their ashes buried there can also opt to have a memorial stone placed instead. These can be custom designed with any number of colors, images, or relief decorations. It will continue to grow with every stone placed, eventually forming the largest structure in the history of mankind.

Plan of the Great Pyramid, The Secret Doors Inside the Great Pyramid of Khu
2008-01-09 13:34:00
Dr. Zahi Hawass, an Egyptian Egyptologist and archaeologist, and his team, studied the complex Great Pyramid of Khufu. Their studies lead to discovering of the plans of the great pyramid. The Great Pyramid of Khufu has always fascinated people because it is the only ancient wonder of the world that exists today. It is also possible people are fascinated because Khufu’s pyramid, especially the interior, is very complex. The modern entrance to the pyramid was created in the Ninth Century A.D. by el-Mamoun son of Haroun el-Rhasied. The true entrance is above this one. This passage goes down through the pyramid, and then connects to another corridor that ascends to the King’s and Queen’s Chambers. The original passage continues downwards into an unfinished chamber directly under the pyramid. Discussion about the purpose of these chambers and the complexity of the pyramid is varied and ongoing. Great Pyramid Built Inside Out, French Architect Says
2007-12-16 23:50:00
According to a French architect, Ancient Egyptians built the 480-foot-high (146-meter-high) Great Pyramid of Giza from the inside out. This findings is based on eight years of study of Jean-Pierre Houdin, who has created a three-dimensional computer simulation to present his hypothesis. He says his findings solve the mystery of how the massive monument just outside Cairo was constructed. The 4,500-year-old tomb of Pharaoh Khufu, he concluded, was built using a ramp that spirals around the pyramid's interior 30 to 45 feet (9 to 14 meters) behind the exterior surface (see image at above)."I am completely comfortable with this theory," Houdin said in a telephone interview from Paris. He was in the French capital on Friday to show the simulation to 400 spectators wearing 3-D goggles. Link

The great pyramid of giza
2007-10-20 16:02:00
The Great Pyramid is the only survivor out of all seven ancient wonders. It is believed to have been built over a 20 year span. The pyramid is so huge and so perfect we wouldn't be able to construct something in this day and age that will compare. Each giant stone ranges from 1 to 20 tons in weight, and the Great Pyramid consisted of well over 100,000 stones. And a fact that amazes me a lot is that the great pyramid is almost a perfect square(it is not a perfect square because one of the sides is just 19 inches short!). But the Egyptians so long ago, couldn’t have been so developed and had no machinery, engines, or construction equipment. So the question lurks, who built the great pyramids? There are some theories that suggest the Egyptians made the pyramids, but this asks us how they hauled 20 ton stones and placed them perfectly hunderds of feet high (145.75 m, 481 ft high).. Some suggest they built a ramp with stones that went from the ground to the top. The flaw in that theor...
The Great Pyramid is No Longer one of the 7 Great Wonders of the World by a
2007-07-08 20:21:00
The New Open World Corporation just decided to create the New 7 Wonders of the World. The Top 7 were decided by about 100 million votes cast by the Internet and cell-phone text messages. If you may be wondering why they decided that the Internet and text messages were a good way to determine the winners, your guess is as good as mine. Actually, I would not have been surprised if they had asked the drug addicted rock stars from "Live Earth" to decide. Nevertheless, like most consensuses we have seen recently, facts and statistics are completely irrelevant. The new 7 Wonders of the World are the following: 1) The Great Wall of China; 2) Petra of Jordan; 3) Christ the Redeemer of Rio de Janeiro; 4) Manchu Picchu; 5) Chichen Itza of Mexico; 6) Rome?s Coliseum; and 7) The Taj Mahal. In case you noticed, the Great Pyramid is absent from the list. Other than being unexpected, the fact that the Pyramid is not on the list entirely destroys any credibility the contest attempted to ...
Who Built The Great Pyramid?
2007-06-11 16:12:00
The Great Pyramid's have long been a source of interest, inspiration and fascination. Built in ancient Egypt, long before the advent of so called "civilisation", the Pyramids are testament to a monumental architectural achievement. Yet, I have always felt the Great Pyramids and Sphinx to be more than just one of the great physical wonders of the world. I remember once reading a spellbinding account of one Paul Brunton's secret exploration into the inner sanctum of the Great Pyramid. Paul Brunton, who was a disciple of Ramana Maharshi, felt that the inner sanctum of the Great Pyramid was a place of spiritual initiation. His story can be read in his book "A Search in Secret Egypt" Anyway, the question of "Who built the Great Pyramids" has long vexed scholars alike. Recent evidence suggests the Sphinx and The Great Pyramids were built long before the mainstream belief of 4th Century BC. See article: Who built the Great Pyramids? at Hall of the Gods. Rela...
Great Pyramid built inside out
2007-04-03 11:59:00
A FRENCH architect says he has cracked the 4500-year-old mystery surrounding Egypt's Great Pyramid - it was built from the inside out.Previous theories have suggested Pharaoh Khufu's tomb, the last surviving example of the seven great wonders of antiquity, was built using either a vast frontal ramp or a ramp in a corkscrew shape around the exterior to haul up the stonework. But flouting previous wisdom, Jean-Pierre Houdin said advanced 3-D technology had shown the main ramp which was used to haul the massive stones to the apex was contained 10 to 15 metres beneath the outer skin, tracing a pyramid within a pyramid."This is better than the other theories, because it is the only theory that works," he said after unveiling his hypothesis in a lavish ceremony using 3-D computer simulation.Mr Houdin, 56, also brushed aside concerns about the popular curse that is supposed to punish those who penetrate the secrets of the pyramids, dating back to the opening of the Tutankhamen tomb."Why s...
