And then some jerk needs it and then he sells it at the auction? How about changing the item to bind on pickup (BOP) when a need roll is selected? That way whoever rolls need can only equip it or sell it to a vendor. On the other hand when everybody greeds it and it's normally a BOP item, make it a BOE (bind on equip) then it truly is a gamble if you get the item. Also it lets the winner get some good coin for it when they do win it fair and square. Also how about changing the rolling percentages based on how many previous items you've won during the run. I don't know how many times I've run something to come up empty, meanwhile other guys have won 3 or 4 items on greed rolls? Just looking for a bit of fairness that's all, a bit of balance. Hey, I got an epic flying mount to save for!
