Someone has clearly been feeding a certain little fluffy mogwai after midnight, because the Gremlins are back in a new advert for BT.Everyone's favourite gross little critters from the '80s are pitted against Dragons' Den's Peter Jones as they destroy his computer, eating wires and tap-dancing on his desk. The message is that unless you use BT Business then you're at the mercy of the gremlins in the machine. When I am not at work on a computer, I am at the house doing computer work. The other day I was need for some missing files off of one of the computers that I manage. The files were long gone the back-ups were old and the engineers were going to have to spend 3 full days getting the file up to speed to current specifications. Apparently the backup was not working correctly and notification of the problem was going to the wrong email. It is always the case with Murphy's LAW. I'm writing this having just returned from Stockton on Tees which is just down the road from my hometown of Middlesbrough. At the back end of last season we operated there and the details of that episode can be found here This time we were presenting a couple of carts (coffee and candy floss) in support of the town centres Fairtrade initiative. I got there nice and early expecting Arthur to be waiting as he was coming half the distance I was, but he wasn't .
