We've been working so hard on the show that there's been no time for shaving.How did last week's Amsterdam show go?Well that's the thing. To be honest, it was good without being amazing. There were still a few things we needed to work on. I'd say it was a 7 out of 10 show, when really we're aiming for a 9 or 10. But I think the people of Amsterdam still went home happy and we've put a lot of work into improving the show since then.So are you finally back on stage with the band?I'm afraid not. But I will be soon.You're such a tease.I know. That's how I'm trying to keep the whole interest in Groove Armada going. I'm just fannying around with something that probably won't go anywhere.What is it?Well, the record company want to release 'Girls Say' from 'Soundboy Rock' as a single. It didn't look like there was going to be another single off the album, but now it seems there is. So I'm trying to do another version of it, which has come out of the way we do it live. And I'm fannying about with that.How is it different?It's a tougher mix, with a bit of guitar. It's got a certain feel of The Police about it, although I'm not sure if that's a good thing.When will it be released?I don't really know. But I like this new version. I've definitely got a good feeling about it. Actually, I heard this week that I'm getting a certificate for the fact 'Song 4 Mutya' got 10,000 plays on the radio. I flew there from Denmark to do the sunset mix with Pete Tong live from Mambo. But it ended up taking me ten and a half hours to get there. I got to Barcelona airport and realised that I wasn't going to get to Ibiza in time. But there were 15 million listeners ready and waiting, so I had to do the mix on my laptop in Barcelona airport and then email it across to the Radio 1 people in Mambo.That's pretty nifty.Well, of course, just as I started emailing it, the plane turned up. So I was holding my laptop, waiting for the email to send and then had to leg it down the little corridor thing onto the plane. But I managed to get there in time to do my little interview after the mix had been broadcast. After taking their live show around the world several times, Groove Armada are set to tour the UK for the first time since 2004. The Soundboy Rock tour goes nationwide this coming May in support of their new studio album. It culminates in a special Lovebox event in Birmingham on the 27th May. It kicks off a huge summer of festival appearances for Groove Armada, with headline shows at Rockness, and, of course, their own Lovebox event in London this summer.
