Growing Jewelry.

Growing Jewelry.Growing Jewelry, another interesting concept by product designer Hafsteinn Juliusson. This collection of the hand jewelry is designed for those in metropolitan cities and is an effort to attract nature towards them as the nature being the presupposition of life. One other important thing is that it has to be taken good care of; the owner of this jewelry needs to water it on a regular basis and nurture it just like any other plant. Well this means that the well-being of it depends on the owner of the jewelry. In ‘Other’ Words: Growing Little Hands
2008-08-26 06:38:00
(Our host for today, Nina, is sick, and unable to post. I have just put the Mr. Linky below, so if you are participating, please put your link in there. THANK YOU!) Iwas in the store the other day, picking out a back-pack, notebook, pens and special snacks for my son’s first day of school.  It was taking awhile to find the perfect ones - not “geeky” - the colors he’d like - and treats that aren’t too sugary, but he’d eat too - to the point my husband was wondering why it was taking so long.  Then he caught on - and tears pooled out of my eyes.  It’s hard letting go of kids - even when their first day of school is . . . college.  I’ve been blessed not to send any of my children off on that big yellow bus - so letting go is a little different.  WIll he remember what we taught him these past 18 years?  Will he see when Jesus is being scoffed or eliminated?  Will others see Jesus in him?  Will he get lost - not in the school...
Metal Wires Growing From Human Body.
2008-08-21 19:12:00
Metal Wires Growing From Human Body.In the past we have seen some Unique People but here is one person who is more different than anyone we came across. Her name is Noorsyaidah. A 40 years old kindergarten teacher from Sangatta, East Kutai. It started in 1991 when metal wires grew out of her chest and her stomach. Metal wires about 10-20 cm long. During the first week, they kept falling off and were gone, but a month later, they grew back again and from then on the wires never fell. They kept on growing. Its now 17 years and still she found no solution. Initial professional consultations revealed that the wires are also inside her body. There are more than 40 metal wires inside her and some of them are pushing out of her skin. They look like a living phenomenon. The wires are able, mobile and can change location at will. Growing
2008-08-20 18:54:00
All The Way, the debut full-length from Growing on The Social Registry, concludes an epic trip. Through six tracks Kevin Doria and Joe DeNardo complete the conceptual arc initiated on their 2006 album, Color Wheel. If we still bought into genres, we would say that this record finally achieves a perfect balance of noise and pop, yet what we can say is that you?ll potentially hum melodies long after your headphones are out. Recorded by Barry London at his Ocropolis Studio during the 2007-08 winter, All The Way sounds like some sort of frozen urban chaos taking place at a superclub on another planet. Opener ?Green Flag? sets the record?s tone. Instead of keeping the form free, a crunchy guitar texture oscillates through a drum machine, setting a distinct and danceable rhythm that forms the foundation for tone bubbles to peel off the edges of your speakers. The next track, ?Wrong Ride,? might remind the listener of a never-ending roller coaster ascent ? mixing subtle dub elements with i...
There Was No Fashion Camp When I Was Growing Up!
2008-08-20 05:49:00
I was in my 4th year of college working towards a marketing degree before I realized that I didn't want to be a business major.  My passion was fashion!  So I quit the university and jetted off to design school in L.A. Better late than never right?  So naturally, I think a "fashion camp" for young girls who are trying to figure things out for themselves is a great idea, especially if fashion is a strong and undeniable interest.

"Potash Corp. (http://www.thestockadvisors.co-m/quote.htm?sym=pot) (NYSE: POT (http://www.thestockadvisors.co-m/quote.htm?sym=pot)) keeps powering ahead, beating expectations," says Tom Slee. In Gordon Pape's Internet Wealth Builder (http://www.thestockadvisors.co-m/images/stories/gordon_pape.gi-f), he sees recent price weakness as an opportunity."First-quarter earnings came in at $1.74 a share as a result of escalating prices, well above the $1.50 analysts were looking for. Then, second-quarter results blew away the first-quarter returns and set a new profit record."Potash posted earnings of $905.1 million ($2.82 per share), a 220% increase over the 88c per share earned in the same period of 2007. It was the highest quarterly profit in the company's history, 62% above the previous record."As a result of these strong gains and the expectation of continued high demand, the company again raised its earnings forecast for the full year, this time to $12-$13 per share. When I first met Damselfly she had just given birth to her little boy, Flybaby, five weeks previously and I enjoyed reading about motherhood from her first-time perspective. It helped me to remember some of the things I'd forgotten way back when I first had my own little baby to figure out.Two years later (give or take) he's the Infant Formerly Known As Flybaby--shortened now to a much more mature "Fly"--and I'm still following her and making comments like "He's getting so big!"Anyway, she has blogged at Growing a Life for over two years and has a wonderful weekly event, "What I'd Wear Wednesday," where she convinces me more and more that she has very fine taste in everything from shoes to nightshirts to watches. Sometimes she writes a bit more intimately and my favorite post of hers, More Love, is one where she talks about her childhood and how that has influenced her own parenting. She's a fine writer who, besides being charming and entertaining, has a degree in journalism, ...

Growing up right before my eyes
2008-07-12 14:00:00
We’ve spent a lot of time at the pool this summer. We got pool passes and dang it we’re going to use them. In June we went to Chicago to visit my mom. While the kids were doing their very favorite activity ever in Chicago…swimming in the pool at Grandma’s apartment… (I know, you’d think it would be Navy Pier or Shedd’s Aquarium or even Great America. Nope. Their favorite thing is Grandma’s pool.) So anyway, while in the pool at Grandma’s house, Caleb got brave enough to swim on his own…without a noodle or holding on for dear life to either the edge of the pool or a family member. By the second day he had this swimming thing down. He wasn’t an Olympic swimmer or anything, but he got from point A to point B and he was pretty darn proud of himself. When we got home and headed back out to our city pool he kept at it. Every day he went a little bit farther in to the deep end, practicing his new swimming skills. He&rsquo...

10 Fastest-Growing Real Estate Markets By Money Staff, CNNMoney.com Jun 9th, 2008 The housing implosion is nowhere near over. In 75 of the 100 top U.S. cities, prices are expected to fall in the next 12 months according to Fiserv Lending Solutions. The S&P Case/Shiller Home Price Index, which tracks 20 of the largest housing markets, showed prices plummeting by 12.7% in the 12 months ending February. That's the biggest fall since the index began tracking prices in 2000. Meanwhile, foreclosure filings more than doubled in the first three months of 2008, spiking 112%. So far this year 156,463 families have lost their homes to repossessions. Many markets won't hit bottom till late 2009 or even 2010. Lionel RIchie On What Nicole Richie Was Like Growing Up
2008-06-10 00:59:00
Photos: Getty Images Lionel Richie won a TV Land Icon award over the weekend. I have no idea what that means in this case. For his videos? TV Land is weird. Anyway, he says one of his greatest triumphs was adopting and getting through raising Nicole Richie. Because you know she was a straight-up pain in the nuts. 'Forget about surviving 40 years in the music business. Just surviving 27 years of Nicole Richie has been a struggle-and-a-half, I want to tell you," Lionel kidded. "I stand here as a survivor, I want you to know, for all the parents out there.'' Nicole had a problem with heroin, got arrested for DUI, served a short jail sentence, and then gave herself an image makeover by squirting out a kid. Oh, and the worst part for Lionel - she hung out with Paris Hilton and even did a show with her. Ugh. Lionel must have looked into seeing if he could return her to his drummer that gave her up. Lionel says it's a whole new household at Nicole's place, with baby Harlow and bab...
Investing in China: Wrestling this Growing Behemoth
2008-06-09 15:54:00
Unless you?ve been asleep for the past 10 years, you know that the hot investment ideas all come from China these days. It makes sense. With 1/5th of the world?s population, and a stronger desire to gain ?developed country? status than any other country in the world, China has presented everyone with strong growth opportunities. Unfortunately, most investors just don’t get it. They?ve been buying up stocks just because they say “China” in their names. It’s just like 1999, when people bought stocks just because they ended with “dot-com.” And we all know how that turned out. I?ve been laying it all…

Why Online Cash Lenders Are Growing In Popularity Posted By : Rachel Yoshid
2008-06-08 18:38:00
With cash advances being avalible online these days, it is no wonder that they are becoming so popular because they are just down right easy and convient. Setting financial goals helps direct financial planning. Examples of financial goals are: "To retire at age 50 with a personal net worth of $800,000 American," or "To buy a house in 3 years paying a monthly mortgage servicing cost that is no more than 25% of my gross income". It is not uncommon to have several goals, some short term, and some long term. Read more about finance.

The more I look at the new template, the more I like it. I liked the layout from the beginning, but wasn't sure about the banner and sidebars. But I think I like them both. I changed the sidebar background color to a nice blue instead of that black, and it really lightened things up. And yes, I realize it's hard to have a truly "light" blog when you have grave stones on your banner, but I like it.Besides, if I'm being honest, probably it suits me...So, what do you think? Love it? Growing Indoors: How to Help House Plants Thrive
2008-06-06 03:49:00
If you decide to take care of plants inside the comforts of your own home, you have to be very particular about its needs. Houseplants require more attention than regular plants, as these plants are not exposed to the direct sunlight and may not be getting the necessary nutrition from its environment. Here are the things you have to always check if and when you decide to put plants inside your home: 1. Plants need light. In the absence of 12 hours worth of sunlight, adequate lighting should be somewhat sufficient. Plants that are always in a dark environment are not likely to grow as lavishly as you hoped it would be. The stronger the light is, the healthier their leaves will seem be. You have to put your plants outside, in the balcony or the patio, whenever you can. And in times that they have to be kept inside the house, make sure that the room it is in is well lit and ventilated. 2. Temperature Generally speaking, plants thrive in hot environments. During the day, plants need a t...

First, emphasizing the threat to India posed by China obscures the fact that China is set to overtake the United States as India's largest bilateral trade partner. Treat Depression by Growing New Brain Cells
2008-06-05 16:37:00
The Booster Shots blog at the Los Angeles Times reports that a company called BrainCells, Inc., has begun phase two testing of a compound to treat depression and anxiety. Nothing new so far, but BrainCells plans to treat these diseases by promoting neurogenesis—the growth of new neurons—in the brain. Company co-founder Fred Gage rocked the scientific world about ten years ago with a paper showing that adult brain cells could regenerate over time. While those findings are fully accepted these days, some researchers are skeptical that neurogenesis will work as a treatment for depression. Whether it works for depression or not, this is a valuable area of research that could be use to treat a number of brain and nervous-system conditions.

Duplicate Poker - World's Fastest Growing Poker Room
2008-06-04 13:33:00
Today I'm here to talk about a new way to play poker . I've often wondered if anyone else could have done any better with the cards I'd been dealt during a game and it looks like I may have found a room that would answer that very question. And they even accept credit cards from the U.S.A. ! At Duplicate Poker the poker is played on a scoring system. Players on a different table get the same hole cards as you do. A deck of cards is shuffled identically and used at each table which gives each player the same cards as the players sitting in the same position on the adjoining table. Duplicate hole cards, duplicate flop, turn and river. A score is generated for each player based on the number of chips they have at the end of each hand, so for every hand every player on all competing tables receive the same number of chips. This is regardless of how many chips a player finished with in the previous hand.Once a hand is over the final score is calculated by comparing your initial score...
