Finding Growth in a Flat Energy Market: Tim Murray
2012-01-05 23:00:00 The Energy Report: Tim, what is your investment thesis right now? Tim Murray: It hasn’t changed since the last time we talked. We are biased towards oil plays. But we will look at selective natural gas players and we prefer the lowest-cost producers as well as the companies with a larger production base. TER: Are you currently telling investors that they need to be patient? TM: Yes. Most of the small/micro cap stories have seen a dramatic drop in share price over the last year; however, WTI (West Texas Intermediate) is hovering around $100/barrel (/bbl), and oil companies should be able to generate strong cash flow at these levels. 5 Dividend-Growth Stocks to Help You Get Richer
2011-12-29 19:00:00 I know of only one sure strategy for accumulating wealth over time, and that is to hold stocks with a consistent track record of dividend growth. The reason this strategy works is because dividend increases can be predicted in a way that share price gains cannot. For example, I can come up with many reasons why Coco-Cola (NYSE: KO) or General Mills (NYSE: GIS) will increase earnings next year, but I can't guarantee that either company will post share-price gains. But by looking at the dividend history, payout ratio and earnings growth expectations for both companies, I can estimate next year's dividend increase with fairly good accuracy. A modest 6% dividend increase on a portfolio of stocks . . . → Read More: 5 Dividend-Growth Stocks to Help You Get Richer

India In Top 3 For Broadband Growth – Will It Be Via TV Or Mobile?
2011-03-28 10:44:00 India added more than 2.5 million new lines of broadband last year and now stands at No13 in the world. Just 6 years ago it was barely in the top 50 of broadband countries. In terms of growth India is just behind China and US when it comes to broadband. These are good signs for the Indian broadband scene but one has to keep in mind that this growth has taken some time coming. Also the total base of broadband users in India is still small and hence the % growth on that small base might be comparable to others. “There has been tremendous and consistent growth in broadband across India in recent years, yet this is just the tip of the iceberg. Both fixed and wireless broadband options abound, and the Broadband Forum is doing all it can to help India’s providers engineer smarter and faster networks,” said Mr Robin Mersh, CEO BroadBand Forum. Worse that Old Media outlet, Agence France Presse, simply takes this group's press release, re-words it a bit and regurgitates it as if it were straight news. Typically, contrary to good journalistic practice, there is no second source to prove that these "hate" groups are on the rise. What's more is that the SPLC's claims are taken as gospel year in and year out by every Old Media outlet, not just the AFP. Citing the "research"...

Scores of niche e-commerce, Groupon-like group buying and exclusive ‘invitation only’ websites have added an element of zing into what is primarily a Web 1.0 business model. Not only that, they have also succeeded in exploiting every shop-a-holic’s weakness – bargains! People who follow the Internet and Bargain-hunters need no introduction to the concept of Group Buying.
