In this thread, he provided a link to a video he created on metacafe of himself playing the PocketGuitar iPod Touch application. Pete Townshend - destroyer of guitars
2007-12-27 23:55:00 Throughout his solo career and his career with The Who, Pete Townshend has played (and destroyed) a large variety of guitars. In the early days with The Who, Townshend played 6-string and 12-string Rickenbacker semi-hollow electric guitars primarily (particularly the Rose-Morris UK-imported models with special f-holes). However, as instrument-smashing became increasingly integrated into The Who?s ...

John Fogerty - Creedence Clearwater Revival
2007-10-23 13:44:00 Many people are not aware that Creedence Clearwater Revival performed at Woodstock in August 1969. Eddie Van Halen Tapping Technique
2007-10-12 04:50:00 Some interesting info on Van Halen from The Lead Guitarist: Van Halen has claimed he developed his signature tapping approach after studying the guitar solo from the Led Zeppelin song ?Heartbreaker? (played by Jimmy Page). Although Van Halen popularized the approach, he did not, despite popular belief, invent this technique; Steve Hackett from the group Genesis ...

World Series of Videogames - The Guitar Heroes
2007-09-04 03:00:00 The other half of my convention visit was the World Series of Video Games. Somehow I don't find watching other players playing World of Warcraft to be all that exciting, and watching a roomful of nerds blast each other away at Quake IV is not very exciting either. Not that these games aren't great to play, it's just that watching them could use a little bit of flavorful commentary. I figure if they played more Capture the flag style gameplay they would attract a larger audience. I found most of the Quake IV audience seating to be pretty sparse.

The Edge
2007-08-29 14:24:00 As a guitar player, The Edge is recognised as having a trademark sound typified by understatement, a chiming, shimmering sound that’s achieved with extensive use of digital delay effects, reverb, and a focus on texture and melody. 1987’s The Joshua Tree is probably the best example of the ’U2 sound’, with songs like “With ...
