Who I Look Like
2007-11-15 19:18:00 I know I am a child of God. So that heritage is a given now. However, throughout my lifetime, I have been compared to and been told I look like a number of celebrities. When I was a child, I was told I looked like Brooke Shields. I think it was because of my nice bushy eyebrows. (I can never seem to keep up on the tweezing!) When I was a teen/ young adult, I was told that I looked like Julia Roberts. This one was because of my height, hair color, and the fact that she and I had the same big, curly hair. The last celebrity I was told I looked like was on my honeymoon, a waiter at the airport said I looked like Geena Davis. "But not when she was chubby. More like from that spy movie she just did." It's still working but it made so much noise I worried my neighbours would lodge a complain on me. Since it's so costly to get it repaired, I might as well get a new one. This time I bought a cheap Japanese made one. Thank you, Tommy, for serving the family for so many year. Time for you to take a long break.I persuaded my hubby to go to IMM (we went there to get out washer) early yesterday so the kids can have fun at the playground. I'm not sure how long we were at the playground but when it was time to go, they made soooo much noise. My poor kids! They seldom go to the playground because the one near our place is always being vandalised and I worried that something might break while playing.We left only after lunch and this ?? was so beat that she fell asleep on my lap on the way home. I told her that there was a dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and karaoke at a local theater afterwards on Friday night (an activity with other singles in the area) and would she like to go. She said she would love to. So I picked up my date at the established time and headed to the restaurant. We got there and were greeted by the ‘hostess’ of the party. Time Sure Crawls When You?re Not Having Fun
2007-02-18 16:51:02 Yesterday, Girlie Girl and I went to her classmate’s birthday party at a local gymnastics place. She had a great time. I wasn’t impressed. First of all, the place is big with a huge obstacle course that the kids go through. With all that space and 20 kids, do you know how many coaches were there to supervise? Two! Some of the kids were falling off the stands or tripping on cables. Girlie Girl ended up with 2 bruises and a torn toenail. I eventually had to volunteer to help chaperone. Did any other parent volunteer to help? Nope! There were all too busy socializing with each other and not paying attention to their kids. And don’t even get me started on those parents. I'd love to be able to streamline myself live when I'm on the Internet. I can do it fine when I'm using Yahoo Messenger but I haven't been able to do it with AOL unless I do it the very slow and complicated way of manually taking the picture and then uploading each new picture to my webspace but that way is so slow and so time consuming. |
