It asks if America is ready for a world where it's no longer the most influential nation. My response is that it depends. I think we are if we elect leaders who recognize America's new, more complex position in the World. Senator Barack Obama does; Senator Clinton and certainly Senator McCain far less so. If we can get the "hawk" element of U.S Government under control and adopt a more intelligent and less "cowboyish" and power-hungry approach, we can do this. The 2008 Presidential election will tell much for the future.
