2008-05-27 20:05:00 Herbie is still winning locally in pony club events and short stirrup classes locally. He never refuses and LOVES to jump. Still jumps 2 feet 9 inches with ease. He has taught many a beginner to jump and will take care of your child while they learn how to ride a cross country course. In the last 3 years he has been 1st twice and 3rd once in first timers and baby novice. He is consistently double clean on stadium, and cross country even with first time riders. He is a easy keeper, no shoes, no soundness issues, and does not require supplements of any kind. Self loads, easy to trim, give shots. He ties all day. Bomb proof on and off property. Extensive experience in pony club, horse showing and games competition. Very fast and great pole bender in games. I have owned him for 4 years and he has taken care of so many kids. It ranks with the best early, electric fusion for its fuzzing of textures, always used as bedrock for killer, roomy solos. A troika of horn greats can take much of the credit for the solos: trombonist Julian Priester, trumpeter Eddie Henderson, and saxist Bennie Maupin. Each generates great, dense ideas without betraying Hancock's eerie ambience and funky vibe. Yes, this is an aggregation of many 1970s-era ideas: renewed sense of Africanisms (at least in the band's naming), intensified percussive underpinnings, and a heap of rumbly rhythms that give props to everyone in neofunk jazz from Clyde Stubblefield to Funkadelic, albeit in a slowed, methodically rhythmic vein.
