In a bid to encourage his friend and protégé, Herzog wagered that Morris would not complete his first documentary film "Gates of Heaven" (1978), which examined pet cemeteries in America. This funny and poignant short film by California director Les Blank is being shown at London's Seventeen Gallery. The 22-minute film will be shown on a loop for the whole month of March, which we think is as good excuse as any to check out this rare short of Herzog at his best. At the final three tribal council, Amanda, Courtney, and Todd pleaded their cases to the Survivor jury. Amanda apologized to anyone whose feelings she had hurt, Todd thanked the jury for helping him in the game, and Courtney asked the jury to give her credit for making it to the end. At the live Hollywood part of the finale, Jeff Probst read the final votes. Probst revealed that Amanda received one vote, Courtney received two votes, and Todd received three votes. What we love most about the stadium?s design is its integration of a myriad complex systems all rolled into such an aesthetically and conceptually simple and stunning object. The Swiss architects describe it best, saying, ?The spatial effect of the stadium is novel and radical and yet simple and of an almost archaic immediacy. Its appearance is pure structure. Facade and structure are identical.? The stadium have a couple of green issues that are quite smart; a rainwater collection system, a translucent roof that provides essential sunlight for the grass below, and a natural, passive ventilation system.
