Highway Patrol investigation goes federal
2008-03-20 20:57:00 PROSECUTORS TO LOOK INTO POSSIBLE POLICE MISCONDUCT The South Carolina Department of Public Safety’s recent publicity nightmare surrounding a possible pattern of misconduct in its ranks — a mess that has already claimed the careers of two high ranking officials — is about to get a whole lot worse. Russell Roark and his boss, Public Safety Director James Schweitzer were forced to resign. “I’ve reviewed some of the videos, and based on that review, felt that it was appropriate to have our office involved,” said Kevin McDonald, acting U.S. attorney for S...

Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go.'The old gentleman paused.
