2007-12-17 22:38:00 We just picked up some new "Leave Behinds" today. Little 5x7 Promotional Pieces that we put in the back of the portfolios for people to grab after they have looked at the book. Something that has a photo and all of our contact info on it. Till now we had been using promo pieces that our management company (Lighthouse Imaging Group) had been printing out as mailers. But with entirely new portfolios the imagery on the old promos just didn't represent what was in the books. Our fabulous designer Annie Consoletti put this together for us and we had it printed over at Paper Chase Printing. They have been printing promos for Los Angeles Photographers for years, but I have only recently started to use them. I had always been very skeptical of their quality but have been quite pleased with the 4 or 5 projects I have dome with them so far. Also their pricing is great!

Clear Hindsight: Bills Defense is Overrated
2007-11-28 15:21:00 Kelsay, defense struggling to limit score (BuffaloBills.com) We talked about it just two weeks ago, where I posed the question on whether or not Buffalo's defense was overrated or underrated. The majority feeling was that at the time, Buffalo's defense was underrated; they had been the catalysts of a 5-1 run for the Bills and were surrendering just 18.4 points per game. It didn't matter who the Bills were beating, so long as the scores were low and ticks were going in the win column. Turns out that this Bills defense is, at a very minimum, overrated in their underrated-ness. Just two weeks later, the Bills have surrendered 92 points in two weeks (bumping their season average to 23.5 per game), and some of the problems that cropped up early have resurfaced. This defense played well against some league bottom-feeders, but the going has gotten much tougher as the competition has. After today's victory against the Royals, the Red Sox are in first place in the AL East. It is true that the Yankees are playing at the moment, and technically have yet to lose a game, but Major League Baseball will announce at any moment that the aberration on Monday evening will not count against the Red Sox in the standings.Plus Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched seven strong innings struck out ten Royals and allowed only one earned run. That ought to be enough to offset minor inconveniences like a loss here or there. This first edition is somewhat special because I had my wisdom teeth taken out Thursday morning, and the initial period after waking up involved me hugging a security guard and a few other things I don't really remember due to the drugs required to put me asleep. Moving on...Today the "always accurate" Inquirer dispelled a rumor surrounding a "drunk Nintendo employee" revealing the Wii does in fact have the capability of displaying HD graphics. Apparently, the PS2 could also display HD graphics, although the 1-frame/second result wouldn't be as astonishing as most people would like it to be. Let's just understand one thing before we move on: the Wii cannot display HD graphics. I think he was only trying to joke and have a little fun with me. I may, in fact, have to issue an apology to him. I think he probably felt bad, too.The reality is, I love school. I don't see it as a drudgery, although sometimes I really hate having to roll out of bed so early to study. It may honestly be easier for me. Not because I'm so great and wonderful or super intelligent, but because I enjoy it. He is probably not in the same place.I really don't want to whine about it, because this is a great time in my life. If I had to drop out of school tomorrow, I would be devastated.Funny how coffee suddenly makes everything crystal clear.And stains your teeth. But I still drink it. |
