2009-08-17 12:10:00 On the Independence Day, “The Hindu”, 130 years old Newspaper has revamped its website though in beta version. The new beta avatar of The Hindu looks prim and proper. Good implementation of Web 2.0 and perfect blend of UI design is used. The makeover was required as the previous layout was not upto the mark. Let’s have a look at the modifications: Good use of pastel colors, not putting stain on eyes and increases readability Made best use of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Maintained a perfect balance between news and Ads Most important and big change, no Ads has been placed on post page (except the sidebar of ADs). Hope they will maintain this policy. Ads are not fitted between the news (As most of the portals do to increase revenue). News has not been broken into multiple pages (as many other websites do, so as to increase the Page Views). One more interesting and notable change is slideshows. Slideshows are played in a single page with smooth transitions....
