2007-08-15 11:03:00 An interesting movie about the mysterious death of the first Superman George Reeves, played by Ben Affleck. Affleck does little to prove to me his limitations as an actor, but here does just enough to pull off an acceptable performance. Adrien Brophy is the private investigator looking in to his death and in comparison shows what a very good actor he is. Support from Diane Lane as Affleck's on screen lover is also excellent. Directed well by Allen Coulter and captures the seediness and feeling of Hollywood during this period well. Some nice twists and turns. This is a JM RECOMMENDS.

The glamour of Tinseltown permanently fades for actor George Reeves, the heroic Man of Steel on TV’s “Adventures of Superman,” as the actor dies in his Hollywood Hills home. 2007-01-02 22:23:01 Juste un petit post pour vous parler de Hollywoodland, qui sort mercredi en salles, et que j'ai eu l'occasion de voir en avant-première vendredi dernier grâce à un ange qui se reconnaitra sûrement. Le film, basé sur des faits réel, en l'occurence la mort suspecte de Georges Reeves, l'acteur qui incarnait Superman à l'écran dans les 50's, est assez captivant et se présente sous la forme d'un thriller à tiroirs qui liste les différents scénarios qui ont amené à la mort du personnage principal. Les acteurs sont excellents et l'intrigue extrêmement bien ficelé. Enfin voilà, une petite suggestion ciné histoire de bien démarrer l'année.J'en profite pour vous présenter tous mes voeux pour cette nouvelle année qui démarre. |
