Facebook Tests Homepage Redesign: Shifts The Placement Of Ads
2011-11-07 12:30:00 Facebook yesterday tested redesigns of ad placements on its homepage, with few users. Some users found: ads placed at the top right hand side feed ticker while some found it at the top of the Timeline profile’s navigation column in the right sidebar. While Facebook is continuously tinkering with the Home page design in order to both keep a fresh flavor for users as well as making users feel more connected to the social network. With testing of placement of ad slots in new places, objective looks quite simple ”increase the value of the site’s premium home page and profile ad inventory“. Since the new slots are placed at the places where user usually looks for the feeds, now they will be greeted by Facebook ads. It looks like Comcast has been hacked but it is back online now. If you look up the top word searches on google you will see that the top 7 words have comcast in them. I don't know the damage that hacker did but I am sure that will be surfacing soon. Also I am not too sure if there is anyone in connected in the hacking of the comcast site or even if they know who did it. What I see as funny is that comcast is busy advertiseing about thier securities and this happen.
