2008-09-01 01:34:00 Lily is finally asleep. She is having a very hard time. She is at that age where change and uncertainty are very difficult. I am not really sure what to tell her. She fell asleep on the way to dinner, so we got some kfc drive thru and came back to the hotel.Our hotel is very nice. We had the pool to ourselves this afternoon. Lily and I had a blast. The entire pool is around three feet deep and Lily had plenty of room to swim without me as a spotter. She is nearly able to swim across a pool without help. I thought for sure that would tire her out. She only got about six hours of sleep last night and was really dragging today. Even after all that she didn't fall asleep until we were on our way to dinner.Jeff has boarded up our house and has evacuated to the base. He will ride the storm out there. 2008-07-09 15:47:00 AmCham-China Daily (whom I am happy to plug because they gave me two pretty cool t-shirts) just did a post, not so grippingly entitled, "Advisory to foreign employees from chamber member company." The advisory is on the need for foreigners to register with the police within 24 hours of their arrival in China, if they are not staying in a hotel. I think this requirement has always been in place, but we (and others) are getting reports that the police are beginning to strictly enforce this rule now. As someone who once spent far too many hours in an ice cold police station in remotest Russia for having failed to do this, my best advice is that registration is worth it.

Since Sunday, June 15th, I have been up from 6 in the morning up until 2am the next morning trying to learn as much as I can about forex. I recently purchased a forex robot and I have been testing it out to see if this stuff is for real. To my surprise, my account is in the profit. The robot I have is pretty simple and straightforward. I then started to see if there were other types of forex robots out there. What did I get myself into?! First I found one, then another one, then two more, then 10 more, then I found forums upon forums just on the topic of forex robots. There is a lot of debate out there whether or not these things are profitable. Some say they aren't, others say yes. I've always been fascinated with "systems/strategies" and money.
