2009-06-27 03:16:00 Prima di pubblicare le pagine del corso per siti web ho chiesto ad alcune persone un parere e qualche test: chiarezza dei contenuti, percorsi degli utenti, funzionamento dei moduli, compatibilità cross-browser, semplicità d'uso, etc. Devo dire che si sono scatenati e anzi... fortuna che esistono gli amici! Ho seguito ed applicato la maggior parte delle proposte e dei consigli perché mi sembravano molto validi (grazie!). In ogni modo mi sto organizzando con le prime strutture che forniranno l'aula al Corso di HTML e CSS per siti web: la prima è a Milano, praticamente in stazione centrale la seconda è ad Imperia, per una bella trasferta la terza è in provincia di Milano, zona nord Spero ne seguiranno presto altre. Tra le altre cose ho intenzione di realizzare una versione gratuita per disoccupati o profili simili, magari tramite l'aiuto di qualche amministrazione comunale. 2008-12-25 15:24:00 E con la quinta lezione siamo arrivati alla conclusione del modulo iniziale del Corso di HTML, in tempo per le feste. Abbiamo visto tutti i principali tag: intestazione, testo, ancore, oggetti, liste, tabelle, form, frame con i loro attributi (sì, anche quelli deprecati, così poi li comprenderemo meglio con i CSS), ora i tre temerari possono creare delle pagine web molto semplici, ma perfettamente funzionanti e complete. Posso dire che dopo la fase iniziale, nella quale è stato necessario prendere dimestichezza con il concetto di tag e attributo, la strada è stata sempre più in discesa, con brevi picchi di complessità sui form (discorso client/server) e sui frame. La cosa più evidente, emersa grazie a queste lezioni con 3 studenti "di test", è il mio errore nella valutazione dei tempi dei singoli moduli. Infatti inizialmente avevo ipotizzato di riuscire a vedere molte più cose in ogni incontro e quindi di concludere il corso più velocemente. Invece ho realizzato che, per chi è totalmente a digiuno di HTML/CSS/Web, una lezione con meno contenuti, molti esempi, più domande e discussioni funziona meglio. Ancora una volta la semplicità sembra la soluzione migliore e gli utenti sono il vero metro di misura delle nostre scelte (come sul web, insomma). Ecco, nel caso vi capiti di preparare materiale didattico, documentazione o qualcosa di simile posso garantire che una prova con gli "utenti finali" offrirà riscontri e informazioni tanto inaspettate quanto utili. Un po' come succede con i siti web, no? Mi sono appuntato le loro reazioni e qualsiasi considerazione sui contenuti e sulla presentazione, portando a casa una serie di consigli e di modifiche da apportare al corso: gli orari e la durata, alcune ripetizioni, gli esempi meno chiari, qualche slide da spostare, dividere e riorganizzare, la necessità di una copia schematica stampata, le loro domande, e così via. Sto cercando di separare il più possibile gli argomenti in modo da poterci fermare al termine di ogni modulo per una sana discussione, l'analisi di casi pratici e qualche esercizio. L'introduzione e la prima parte sui tag HTML sono pronte, a dire il vero manca solo la grafica, ma il percorso c'è. Ora sto lavorando alla sezione sui CSS ed alla struttura della presentazione: vorrei cercare di essere meno soporifero possibile per tenere attive le menti sulla pratica. Intanto ho comprato il cavo VGA per collegare il Macbook alla TV e ricevuto da Hong Kong, tramite eBay, l'adattatore miniDVI-VGA... insomma l'hardware per una proiezione casalinga c'è. Volevo provare a coinvolgervi nel tentativo di stilare un percorso il più possibile completo e naturale così che possa essere utilizzato anche da altri.
