Rohith spotted a sign that says that the restaurant is recommended by the Lonely Planet. We found an empty restaurant with a clear sign outside (see picture above). There was nobody inside! We called out and checked everywhere - nobody. Not about to give up after spotting some interesting dessert offering on the menu, we decided to sit and wait.A lady came in after a few minutes - it was Mrs Cheng. Mr. Cheng turned up quite quickly after and to our surprise he spoke very good English with a British accent! We ordered our basic meal of egg fried rice with 2 meat and 3 vegetarian dishes. He also recommended caramelized bananas and we didn't regret that. It was really good bite sized portions - cris...

Planning To Go To Huangshan
2007-07-03 10:59:00
Our plans are set. We are taking a bus to Hangzhou, then another from Hangzhou to Huangshan. After much research and calling for information we found the best route in the shortest time. The initial shocker was that the bus from Ningbo to Huangshan takes 9 hours! Good thing the rest of the party was equally as adverse to the idea of being stuck in a bus for such a long time.I'm pretty excited although David is a bit apprehensive - well for me, actually. I don't travel very well because I suffer from motion sickness. It started as young as 1 mth old. Mom said I would throw up when she had to drive with me in the car from PJ to KL! I have it much under control now with a load of pills, oils and gadgets but would still feel queasy when traveling on windy roads or in boats (more due to the diesel fumes). It hasn't stopped me from traveling - I just have to be prepared. So this backpacking sorta trip will be another first i...
