Hurtigruten Offers Many Holiday Specials For Norwegian Coastal Voyages
2007-12-23 16:00:00 Hurtigruten Cruises, formerly Norwegian Coastal Voyages, has a wealth of specials to assist you in experiencing nature up close and personal from a cruise perspective. Having witnessed first hand the onboard environment of Hurtigruten, I can highly recommend it to adventure cruisers. I personally spoke with one of their onboard guides for Antarctica, and what a wealth of knowledge he was. What amazed me even more was his enthusiasm for Hurtigruten as a company, and their goals to satisfy the passenger. It’s not just a cruise, but more of a complete educational procress that enriches your life experiences in the short time you are with them. Now you have no excuses. The specials listed below are simply fabulous, and will enable you to see parts of the world you will long remember.

You will have the opportunity to enjoy opera in the ships lounges and bars while you relax and enjoy your cruise. You’ll also have a chance to listen to the Norwegian National Opera Orchestra in ports along the route, and soloists in some ports like Harstad, Tromso, the North Cape Plateau, Norway, and Murmansk, Russia. Still not enough? How about the reverberating sounds of church concerts in the Artic or Lofoten Cathedrals? Imagine if you will the pleasure derived from the world’s most beloved music performed by a company of almost 100 singers and musicians along the way. Hurtigruten Continues To Be The World?s Most Beautiful Voyage
2007-10-06 22:40:00 Although Hurtigruten’s ships are among the smallest in the cruise world, their voyages are among the largest in terms of memories and adventure. They promise you authentic voyages to pristine lands and experiences you will remember forever, and they deliver. Lonely Planet’s Bluelist ranks “The Voyage” as the most beautiful voyage in the world because everyday is like a travel postcard of georgeous fjords and quaint Norwegian villages, or swimming alongside killer whales and getting face to face with Emperor penguins. National ZGeographic Traveler ranks the coast of Norway as the world’s top destination. Hurtigruten, which means Coastal Express, has been around since 1893, is a large company, 16 ships in all, tour buses, and ferries operating in the Arctic Circle, Norway, Greenland, Iceland, South America and Antarctica. I was on the Fram last week, their newest small vessel, and was able to see firsthand how comfortable and beautiful the ship is.
