CONVERSE'S EMERGENCY CAMPAIGN
2011-12-18 23:56:00 Converse UK recently carried out a rather interesting campaign to promote their line of footwear to fans. The company placed I.C.E (In Case Of Emergency) boxes in public spaces so that passerbys could help themselves to a pair or tweet the message inside empty containers for an opportunity to win others.

In case of emergency on the CTA ...
2009-10-26 22:00:00 Ernesto Cano of Lincoln Square wrote to "Going Public" with a question about rail car doors. The CTA response is after the jump."The last car on a train, should that be kept unlocked at all times in the event of an emergency? I have noticed that MANY times the door (that is shared with the door to the train operator's station) on the very last car is locked. In the event of an emergency such as a fire or a power outage, this could cause a lot of panic and maybe cost a lot of lives if this is kept locked. I notice this more on the Red Line than any of the other lines."...
In Case of Emergency
2009-09-02 16:52:00 We all carry our mobile phones with names and numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends. If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) Campaign. The concept of 'ICE' is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name 'ICE' (In Case Of Emergency). The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore t...

In Case Of Emergency, Wear A Condom
2008-01-24 11:54:00 demo for safe "landing"I am sure many of you who have traveled by air most probably are not bothered with the same boring safety demo by the equally boring air hostess. Some of you might feel uncomfortable talking about the safety dos and donts in case of emergency. But this demo will not only make you feel comfortable but exciting as well. I'm sure many male passengers will sit up or look up from their magazines and watch this safety demo with full erection attention. Who cares about tastless airline food when we have this sweet air hostess in a sexy outfit seductively slipping a condom into a long transparent rigid phallus to demonstrate safe sex. Happy flying and safely "landing"! Watch the clip.Technorati Tags: flying, airline, hostess, sex, safety, emergency, condom, demonstration, landing, humor, notorious blog, kher cheng guan

ICE - In Case of Emergency
2007-02-19 17:07:00 Due to the recent bombing in Mumbai and floods in Bihar , there has been a tremendous push to launch the International " In Case of Emergency" (ICE) campaign. As you know, many people were injured in these incidents. Many of those injured were found with their cell phones. First responders used the injured person's cell phone to try and locate a family member that they could notify on the injured persons behalf. However the rescuers found it difficult to locate the appropriate person. Wireless subscribers are now being asked by Public Safety Officials all over the world to store the word "ICE" in their wireless phone address book and put their next of kin's phone number next to it. In the event of an emergency, this person would be contacted quickly by ambulance and hospital staff. It's just that easy! (Source: BBC News) Please take a moment to program someone that you would like to be contacted in case of an...

In Case of Emergency gets Lost for the next two weeks?
2007-02-13 03:18:01 TV Guide is reporting that ABC is pulling both According to Jim and In Case of Emergency for the next two weeks (the remainder of February sweeps) for repeats of the previous week’s Lost. I find this interesting because the ratings were down big down last week and this could lead to overexposure. Granted Jim and ICoE are not the best lead-ins for Lost neither is repeat of the show from the earlier week. The part that bums me out is I have really grown to like ICoE and I think the remaining episodes will only be shown online and not ABC. BTW am I the only who was not really impressed with last week’s Lost? I am so over The Others.
