The Inland Empire in 2015
2008-04-25 00:00:00
The fastest-growing region of California is the Inland Empire of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, home to more people than live in Oregon. By 2015, almost 5 million will inhabit this vast and varied region. In this report, PPIC researchers Hans Johnson, Deborah Reed, and Joseph Hayes examine several likely characteristics of the Inland Empire in 2015, including the expected population makeup and economic conditions. Among their findings: a shift in ethnicity to majority Latino and a modest improvement in the educational profile of the region's population.

O momento final de Inland Empire
2008-01-26 12:57:00

Inland Empire lot prices sliced in half
2007-12-18 09:34:00
Land brokers at Hoffman Co. from O.C. have some devastating numbers about price drops for finished lots in the Inland Empire. A recent reports shows values down as much as 52% (French Valley) from fourth quarter 2005 vs. today. My trusty spreadsheet tells me of the 29 markets in Riverside and San Berdoo counties tracked, the median value of a 7,200 square foot lot fell roughly $100,000, or 39%. That’s bad news for landowners and eventually good news for home shoppers. That savings will eventually get passed along in lower home prices. Here’s the losers’ list, community and 2-year lot-price change … Community Loss Community Loss French Valley -52.1% Lake Elsinore W -38.9% Highland -48.9% Redlands -38.8% Lake Elsinore E -46.8% Victorville -38.5% Rancho Cucamonga B -46.7% Etiwanda -37.7% San Jacinto -46.2% Rancho Cucamonga A -37.5% Chino -45.7% Riverside -36.5% Menifee -45.0% Dairy Lands -36.4% Wildomar -44.2% Moreno Valley -36.1% Yucaipa -...

David Lynch - Inland Empire
2007-08-29 22:11:00
I'd like to name this film "Diagnosis unknown"… In spite of that fact that my morbid imagination adores all these logical conundrums & quests I leaved cinema hall with dilated eyes and absolutely empty mind. Besides, as it seemed rest of people was in the same trance. I was sitting at the last line &, ...

Inland Empire California: Inland Empire Real Estate Markets Still Hot | Inl
2007-08-23 21:17:00
I don't know if I'm alone on this one, but I may explode if I hear the term "sub-prime" used one more time. During my two month hiatus from the real estate blogosphere, I've watched dozens of mortgage lenders and brokers abruptly die out. Today, Bank of America just bought $2B in preferred stock from Countrywide Home Loans to help keep them alive (Los Angeles Times). We're seeing history in the making ladies and gentlemen. We all saw it coming, but I must say, I am astonished at how swiftly the changes occur ed. It's safe to say that what the housing industry has experienced is more like a death blow than a "correction." Between all the foreclosures and layoffs, it seems as though everyone is scrambling to find a solution to the housing meltdown. For all my loyal fans out there (yes, you Mom), I'm excited to announce my return to the world of real estate blog writing. Once again, I promise to spend long nights in front of the computer and ignore all 'femalien' distractions t...
David Lynch?s Inland Empire - Limited Edition DVD
2007-08-18 01:15:00
Though Inland Empire’s three hours of befuddling abstraction could try the patience of the most devoted David Lynch fan, its aim to reinvigorate the Lynch-ian symbolic order is ambitious, not to mention visually arresting. The director’s archetypes recognizable from previous movies once again construct the film’s inherent logic, but with a new twist. Sets vibrate ...
Coming Soon DVD: Inland Empire

David Lynch has never been a conventional film maker, and Inland Empire is a fine example. Instead of using the regular equipment associated with movie making he opts for a consumer grade Sony PD-150 digital cam. This gives a very gritty feel to the movie, and one that we are not used to. Inland Empire was ...

INLAND EMPIRE

BBC Collective Explores "Inland Empire"
2007-03-10 02:12:02
The always brilliant BBC Collective has an interview up with David Lynch, who discusses his latest head-scratcher "Inland Empire": ?A woman in trouble?. That?s as far as David Lynch is prepared to elaborate on the subject of his latest film, Inland Empire. Lynch has always resisted interpreting his own multi-layered, surreal dreamscapes but his reticence here makes more sense than ever, because
Inland Empire: Lock in Your Interest Rates Soon!
2007-02-16 18:36:00
Stronger economy lifts mortgage rates - Feb. 1, 2007The Fed met last week to discuss their on-going worries about inflation. Thankfully, they decided that prices were stable enough (for now) to keep the over-night bank rate at 5.25%. The bank rate does influence mortgage rates directly, however, there are other factors. Mortgage rates are also heavily influenced by the 10-Year Treasurey Note. Over the last month, average interest rates on 30-Year Fixed mortgages have gone up almost half a percent. There's no need to start chewing your fingers off if you still need to purchase or refi. I'm still looking at rates of around 6% for an A+ borrower with decent equity. This statistic might make you feel better:If you take all the mortgages for the last 30 years and averaged up the interest rates, you would have a number higher than 10%.Just off the top of my head, I think the 18% mortgage rate we saw in the 80's may have been a contributing factor....My point is, we are still in a favor...
