Lord Paul Swarj Under British Police Investigation
2009-10-12 23:45:00
I have written of the Sathya Sathya Sai Baba-implicated and high-profile British Labour Government Minister, Tony McNulty MP, and police investigations into allegations of rorting the British taxpayer. The very wealthy Lord Paul of Marylebone (See Wikipedia note below) is now under police investigation for the same reason. In probing Lord Paul, the British media might like, while investigating, to see whether Paul has been assisting the Sathya Sai Organization, as has been Tony McNulty. Both have long been powerfully influential in the British Labour Party.

Sorry for my absence from the blog.  I blame my real job and a nasty sinus infection that just won’t go away. Anyway, I was just weeding through a ton of GayPatriot email and found this devastating summary by Dick Morris of President Obama’s current political situation.  I usually give Dick Morris just about grain of ...

Assignment to our Readers:Question to Determine Integrity of your Feminist
2009-07-02 00:40:00
I task all my readers to ask their feminist friends how they would rate the following hypothetical woman: While a housewife, having only been elected to local office, this woman helped expose the corruption and/or end the political careers of three white male Republican politicians holding statewide office. Ask them if they believe such a woman should ...
The Integrity of Gay Left Bloggers Who Criticize Obama
2009-06-27 01:08:00
In the past few weeks I have gained a lot of respect for a number of left-wing gay bloggers, many of whom I have faulted in the past.   To be sure, a number of them (notably Towleroad) have distinguished themselves in the past by reporting on the plight of our fellows suffering under repressive regimes, ...
Obama Lacks the Gipper?s Political Courage on Gays
2009-05-14 09:18:00
You can measure a politician’s principles by his willingness to do something which he believes to be the right thing, but which carries a political cost. Before he was ever elected President, Ronald Reagan did just such a thing, showing political courage in standing up against anti-gay bigotry.  In 1978, he came out publicly against the ...
The Integrity of Michael Petrelis & the Tragedy of Gay Iraqis
2009-05-12 08:10:00
I should perhaps link blogger/activist Michael Petrelis more often on this blog.  Michael is a lefty whom I first met at Marvin Leibman’s 70th Birthday Party in 1993.  I was surprised then that someone so radical could be so cordial to all the gay Republicans in the room — as well as some of the ...

On bad advice & good mentors
2009-03-21 20:07:00
Today, I realized yet again that I must one day write my memoir, even if no one will ever read it.  Given my fascinatingly strange coming out story, I believe I have something to offer about the gay coming out experience as a metaphor for self-discovery, individuation. I fear, however, that some who might otherwise warm ...

Marketing Yourself Online with Integrity: Lessons from Madame Helena Rubins
2008-12-08 17:18:00
The beauty about online businesses is that you can work in your bedroom slippers, on a Tahiti beach, or at the local coffee shop and your customers will never know. The anonymity of the internet is very attractive to those who operate a business or product but are a bit shy. We let the internet do the talking for us. There is; however, a danger in taking full advantage of the anonymity of the internet and that is losing your integrity. When I write an article and post it online, does that substantiate a claim that I am an international author? Many people would say yes but I disagree. Let's say I am enjoying a party at my best friend's house. She introduces me to a book agent as an international best selling author because my best friend has seen my email signature that says "Allison Frederick, International Author" (this a self-proclaimed title I included in my email based on the fact that I write online). The book agent is intrigued, wondering why she hasn't heard of me before. Sh...

When I traveled cross-country last fall, a close friend who lives in our nation’s capital observed that one of the great challenges in my life has been the tension between my interest in politics and my passion for literature (or, as I would put it, in myths, movies, novels or poems). Why a Lack of Openness Sullies the Integrity of Google?s Ad Auctions
2008-06-10 00:00:00
-By Scott Cleland Does Google warrant the current exceptional leap-of-faith in the integrity of its dominant ad auction model, given its near total lack of openness, transparency, independent auditability or third party oversight? There is a growing body of evidence that Google does not. The New York Times article today by Miguel Helft, “The Human Hands ...

Learning Lessons - The Easier ?Hard? Way

It is no real issue if you consider you've actually done everything to learn a lesson from a mistaken or erroneous action. The main thing is learning the lesson and then moving on. At Least Marx Had Integrity

An EARTH DAY SPECIAL from Churchill’s Parrot blog Granted Karl Marx was a bitter, self-loathing, misanthrope, half-crazed with envy and his own depraved world view, but at least he had integrity.  When advocating the implementation of his beloved communism, for instance, he made no attempt to sugar coat what would be required: ?The proletariat will use its ...

INTEGRITY IS NOT A SOMETIMES THING
2008-04-15 15:55:00
Today is Tuesday, so this post is on positive personal impact.ecently, I’ve been posting about the importance of integrity as a cornerstone of your personal brand.  Over the weekend, we all (at least those of us who are interested in golf) got to see a young man who personified integrity.Michael Thompson is a senior at The University of Alabama.  He is also a good golfer – good enough to get invited to compete in The Masters as an amateur.  If you’re not familiar with golf, The Masters is one of golf’s four major tournaments.  Many think that it is the premier golf tournament in the world.  Big golf tournaments are contested over a four day period.  There is a cut after the first two rounds.  For Mr. Thompson, making the cut as an amateur would have been a huge accomplishment.  He was putting for a birdie on the 15th hole.  If he sank that putt, he would have stood and excellent chance of making the cut.  Howe...

An Issue of integrity
2008-04-10 12:59:00
This blog idea was given to me as a thread of discussion to be taken up to explore it further as an issue. The issue is in relation to mis behaviour and disresepect to PR professionals thinking that they come easy. And that is obviously not true.
