Storm Over Everest: Your Thoughts
2008-05-16 07:11:00
Check Out the Complete Coverage of Everest 2008, Now Taking Place. I recently had the opportunity to watch the PBS Special Frontline: Storm Over Everest. I have to say that it surprised me how well this all came together. David Breashears, who directed and produced this documentary, done a wonderful job of representing what ...
Everest 2008: Lincoln Hall Rescuer Andrew Brash?s Latest Dispatch
2008-05-11 09:31:00
This is an expedition I have not touched much on, but one that has drawn a bit of media attention. In 2008, Andrew Brash has returned to Mt. Everest. Most of you should recognize his name. Back in 1996, Brash, along with Dan Mazur and Myles Osborne helped make one of the ...

Game Thread: Cubs at Rockies; 8:35 p.m. ET/7:35 CT: Into Thin Air

Here's the Rockies trying to break the Cubs' stride. Here's the Rockies trying to hoooooold the Cubs down! But oh no! They got to keep on moving! The Cubs begin the cross-country odd road trip tonight, where they flew from Chicago to Denver, play a whopping two games, then go all the way back to the East Coast and Washington, D.C. for three games this weekend. Why not play in Colorado, then stay out for a West Coast swing? Who knows, I guess that would make too much sense. Anyway, the Cubs' bats are smokin', kind of like the new My Morning Jacket song (rock!). And a great place to go with hot bats is Colorado, where the scoring is plentiful (even with the dumb humidor). The flip side of this is that the Cubs' pitchers will also be susceptible, starting with tonight's starter, the gangly Rich Hill. Hill (1-0, 3.86) finally got his first win of the season last time out, pitching five innings and giving up three hits and one run. This will be a good test for him, hopefully hi...

Into Thin Air: More Oxygen Means More Energy
2007-05-29 19:38:00
Professional teams and players in the NFL, NHL, NBA as well as elite college programs and everyday people are getting their altitude from Colorado Altitude Training (CAT) and their extra Oxygen from companies like Oxia. More oxygen means more energy and that's what people are banking on. Colorado Altitude Training's products simulate altitude by lowering the oxygen percentage in the air to mimic the number of O2 molecules per breath at altitude which increases your lung performance. And, while Oxia claims to offer active, healthy conscious people a convenient source of natural energy to complement exercise and a busy lifestyle; it also promotes a natural alternative to help you party longer and harder! W Hotel even puts a can in every guest room in their Montreal location.Sort of makes you want to keep breathing. Source: Men's Vogue
